Before too much time passes I have to give the HowToSummit its place on my timeline. This experience was everything I expected it to be and more. Some of you may not know but I own a professional organizing business called @resetwithlissette . I started this business a little over 7 years ago and have taken my journey slow. Stepping into the business owner role at 21 years old was scary but lucky for me I found some incredible mentors that have encouraged me and helped me along the way. This September I was able to meet my mentors face to face for the first time ever and to say it was incredible is an understatement. I am so happy to have been able to make my way to Dallas to do this for my business. The connections I made last week are invaluable and will benefit my business for years and years to come. The HowToSummit was so refreshing and jam packed with information that will set me apart from my old self.

If you have questions about what professional organizing is or you’re thinking that you might need my help, please feel free to contact me. 🥰

Wow!!!! 🤩

ResetwithLissette is so lucky to have the opportunity. Wow. 🥹 Its my mission to assist all my clients to feel peace in their space. I never want to throw things away, I’m very sentimental, I understand what it’s like to want to keep the special thing. Let’s dust off the special thing and display it in your home like it deserves.

This job has brought me many blessings, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I am in my element.

Thank you so much Candace, for embracing my method and trusting the process. You impressed me over and over with your drive and motivation. I wish you the best with your big move and your new job. And thank you again for your 20+ years in service. You have inspired me and this testimony will inspire others. 🙌🏼🙏🏼♥️

How is it that the holidays reoccur so often?! Why does it feel like I just put my holiday decor away in January, and then two days later I’m pulling it all back out again?

Last year, I found myself scaling back how many of my beautifully handpicked decorations I actually displayed because I knew how much work it would be to put it all away later. Unless you have a whole team to mount and break down your decorations, how festive your house looks often depends on how much energy you have that year.

The holidays are busy. The kids have activities at school, your friends are planning parties, laundry somehow gets bulkier, and there’s an influx of new goodies and trinkets that fill the counters. It’s all part of the magic — and the madness — of the season!

🎃A Few Tips to Help You This Holiday Season

1. Ditch the plastic H-E-B bags.
Try switching smaller decor items into clear Ziploc bags instead. Those random plastic grocery bags tend to get overlooked and end up sitting in the bins year after year.

2. Label everything!
Use labels or painter’s tape to mark what’s inside each bin and where it usually goes. Keep those groups of items together. Future-you will thank you when it’s time to decorate again.

3. Create a holiday art garland.
Use string or twine to hang your kids’ handmade holiday artwork. It’s adorable, meaningful, and makes it easy to display those sweet memories in one quick, simple step.

As the holidays start to roll in, remember that it’s okay to simplify and make space for what really matters — peace, joy, and connection. A little organization now can make next season’s setup a total breeze.

If you need a hand getting your holiday decor put away (without the chaos), I’d love to help! You can always reach out to schedule a Post-Holiday Reset Session or follow along here for more simple organizing tips to make your home feel lighter, calmer, and ready for whatever season comes next.

Until next time,

Holiday décor can get overwhelming—sometimes it never even makes it back into storage 😅. That’s why I’m offering Holiday Décor Breakdown sessions (home or business) this season. Think Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Etc—organized, and stored neatly.

I’ll be offering both single-session breakdowns and a seasonal package. If you or someone you know could use this service, I’d love your referrals! Please send me a text/DM with any questions or to set up a free consultation.
