I headed towards Chicken Republic to grab a bite after a very stressful day, and I saw kids outside asking for alms. Then I went inside (won't mention the location for the sake of the staff) and I noticed a leftover meal that looked almost untouched, so I asked the staff, "Please, can this be packaged and handed out to those kids outside?" She was like, "It's not allowed; the company policy does not allow it." And then she went ahead to say, "Even if there are leftovers from the day's sales, like meals that have not been touched yet, and they did not finish selling them for the day, they're usually trashed." And I'm like, "That doesn't feel right..." The meal was taken away right before my eyes, and God knows what happened to it, and I'm guessing TRASHED!!

So @chickenrepublic, why the policy? And can something be done about it? It just doesn't feel right, and do all eateries also have this policy? by @restoringherprime
