✨🧘‍♀️ From a dream... to reality. 🧘‍♀️✨
Today, I passed my first Yoga Teacher Training class, and it's hard to put into words what this moment means to me. 🤍
I traveled from the United States, crossed oceans, adjusted through multiple time zones, and journeyed thousands of miles away from home to be here in Bali. ✈️🌎🇺🇸➡️🇮🇩
It’s even more special because I'm doing it with my sister. 👭✨
This trip was never just about the photos, the food, or the places.
It was about purpose.
Throughout my life, I've worn many hats. I'm proud to be a nurse, a mother, a daughter, and a sister. But I've also tried different things, pursued different goals, and explored many interests along the way.
Yet yoga has always felt different.
No matter how much time passed, no matter where life took me, it kept calling me back.
It wasn't just something I wanted to do.
It felt like something I was meant to do.
A quiet voice that never went away.
A calling that waited patiently until I was finally ready to answer it.
For the first time in a long time, I don't feel like I'm chasing a dream.
I feel like I'm stepping into my purpose. ✨
Being surrounded by incredible teachers and supportive, non-judgmental classmates has made this experience even more meaningful. And through it all, God continues to remind me that His timing is always perfect. 🙏
Soon, I'll be heading to the Philippines, where after 19 years, my entire family will finally be together again. 🇵🇭❤️
What a beautiful season of life.
A dream fulfilled.
A calling answered.
A sister by my side.
A family reunited.
My heart is full. 🤍🙏✨ Namaste 🕉️ Thank you, @houseofom.bali @mayanku.yoga @warga.yoga

I was just scrolling through my camera roll today and my heart stopped for a moment, because today marks one month since we graduated from our yoga teacher training. 🥹💛 One whole month already, and yet it still feels like yesterday that we were in Bali, waking up early, rolling out our mats, breathing together, and learning together at House of Om. Looking at these pictures brought it all rushing back, every face, every moment, every feeling, and I found myself smiling through tears because I didn’t realize how much I missed it until I saw it all again. Time has moved so fast since then, but a part of my heart is still there, in that beautiful space where we grew, healed, and became teachers together. 🌿✨

I miss everything about those days, the training, the laughter that filled the room when we messed up a pose and laughed at ourselves, the quiet moments of stillness, the deep conversations, and the way we supported each other through every challenge. I remember how hard we worked, how much we learned, not just about yoga, but about ourselves, and how our teachers guided us with so much patience, wisdom, and love. And I will never forget our last day, when we all cried together, holding each other, not wanting it to end, because we knew we had shared something so special that words could never fully explain. 😭🤍 Those tears were not just sadness, they were gratitude, love. , and the beautiful ache of saying goodbye to a chapter that changed us forever.

I really miss our routine, I miss our teachers, and I miss my classmates so much. I miss starting the day together, practicing together, eating together, and simply being present with people who understood this journey in the same way I did. Wherever you all are now, I am wishing you so much love and light in your yoga journeys, may you keep teaching, keep learning, keep growing, and keep sharing your beautiful light with the world. 🙏💖 Thank you for every memory, every laugh, every tear, and every lesson. You will always be a part of my heart, and I am so grateful that our paths crossed in Bali. Once a yoga family, always a yoga family. 🧘‍♀️🌸 by @revekahcosby

Day 3 of 8 🧘‍♀️✨
ASANA — The Third Limb of Yoga

Day 1 was Yama — how we live with others.
Day 2 was Niyama — how we live with ourselves.
Today is Asana — how we live in our body. 🌱

Asana means posture, or seat. In the Yoga Sutras, it’s described as steady and easeful — sthira sukham asanam. Not perfect, not flexible, not a performance. Just a posture you can stay in, breathe in, and rest in. 🤍

Asana consists of:

🧘 Steady and easeful
A posture that can be held without strain — steady enough to stay, soft enough to breathe.

🌬️ Breath moves freely
The shape never stops the breath. If you can’t breathe there, it’s not the right shape for today.

🧱 Supported alignment
Props are support, not cheating. A block, a strap, a blanket — they help your body find ease.

🌿 Body prepared for stillness
Asana prepares the body so the mind can settle, too. That’s why we practice poses before we sit for meditation.

A gentle practice for today: pick one steady posture — Sukhasana, Child’s Pose, or just sitting tall — and take 5 slow breaths there. No rushing. No fixing. Just steady and easeful.

Yoga is more than poses, but the poses help us get still enough to hear ourselves. ✨
You did enough today.

Which posture helps you feel most steady right now? Tell me below. 👇
Save this for your Day 3, and send it to a nurse friend who needs a softer way to move. 🫶

For my fellow nurses with busy days 🩺💛

This morning, I woke up at 4 AM so I could move before my day started:
tricep kickbacks, medicine ball chest press, push-ups, and a 20-minute vinyasa flow with @zacharias of @onepeloton

Sorry about the lighting — I woke up early, early this morning and I didn’t want to blast my house with a lot of lights. But anyway, this is the realest you can get from me. ✨

Then I got ready, drove from New Jersey to the VA in Baltimore, and started work at 7:30 AM — for 12.5 hours.

I’m a single mom. My kids are grown now, but I still have three dogs, a mortgage, a car payments, and bills to pay — just like so many of you. I know what a tight schedule feels like.

I’m not sharing this to say it’s easy, or to make anyone feel bad if you didn’t get to move today.
I’m sharing it because you still deserve a few minutes for yourself, even on a 12-hour day.

You don’t need a perfect morning.
Even 5 minutes counts — a stretch, a breath, a walk, a short workout. Something that is yours, before you give the whole day to everyone else.

Put yourself first, even in a small way. ✨
You did enough today.

What is one small thing you could do for yourself tomorrow, even for just 5 minutes? 👇
Save this, or send it to a nurse friend who needs this reminder today. 🫶

Day 2 of 8 🧘‍♀️✨
NIYAMA — The Second Limb of Yoga

Yesterday was Yama — how we live with others. Today is Niyama — how we live with ourselves. 🌱

Niyama means observances, but not rules to be perfect at. They are small, kind practices for your inner life — the way you care for yourself when no one is watching, especially after a long shift. Before the poses, this is the foundation inside. 🤍

Niyama consists of five practices:

🤍 Saucha — Purity / Cleanliness
Keeping your space, your body, and your thoughts a little clearer — a tidy mat, a deep breath, letting go of one heavy thought.

💛 Santosha — Contentment
Finding a little enough in this moment, even on a hard day. Not settling — just resting in what is here, right now.

🔥 Tapas — Discipline / Inner Fire
The steady warmth that helps you show up, even in small ways. A short practice counts. Five minutes counts.

📖 Svadhyaya — Self-Study
Noticing yourself with honesty and kindness. What am I tired from? What do I actually need today?

🕊️ Ishvara Pranidhana — Surrender
Letting go of needing to control everything, and trusting that you can rest in something bigger than the shift, the to-do list, the worry.

A gentle practice for today: pick just one Niyama and carry it with you. Maybe it is Santosha — one moment of enough — or Saucha — clearing one small space, inside or out.

Yoga is more than poses. It starts within, too. ✨
You did enough today.

Which Niyama speaks to you most right now? Tell me below. 👇

Cacao Ceremony 🍫🌸

September 26, 2026 — House of Om, Bali.
The day my yoga teacher training began, and almost the end of the training, Cacao Ceremony was the day I sat in a circle of flowers, candles, and cacao cups and made a promise to myself.

My card that day was #Purpose. 🤍
And at the bottom of my Contract With Myself, in my own words:

“I promise myself to be myself.”

To love my body and appreciate my health.
To trust my intuition and listen to my inner voice.
To live in the present moment, not in the past, nor in the future.
To walk away from what holds me back and no longer serves me.

I still carry that promise with me — on the mat, at work, and at home.
You did enough today. Just be yourself. 🕯️✨

Have you ever made a promise to yourself that you still keep? 👇

Just me, my mat, and a Power Vinyasa with Zacharias on Peloton 🧘‍♀️🔥
Sound: Let Me Be 🎵

I didn’t move to be perfect today — just to breathe, move, and let myself be.
Strong where I could be, soft where I needed to be. ✨

Let me be. Let me breathe. Let me begin again.

You did enough today. 🫶

Do you move to clear your mind, or to rest in it? 👇

Day 1 of 8 🧘‍♀️✨
YAMA — The First Limb of Yoga

About 2,000 years ago, the sage Patanjali wrote the Yoga Sutras. In them, he described eight limbs of yoga — and Yama is where it all starts. 🌱

Yama means restraints, but not in a strict or punishing way. It’s about how we live with others, and how we move through the world with more care. Before the poses, before the breathwork, before meditation — this is the foundation. 🤍

The Yama consists of five practices:

🤍 Ahimsa — Non-harming
Being gentle in thought, word, and action — including toward yourself after a long shift.

💬 Satya — Truthfulness
Speaking honestly, and kindly. Truth without harshness.

🤲 Asteya — Non-stealing
Not taking what isn’t ours — time, energy, rest, or credit.

🌿 Brahmacharya — Moderation
Using our energy wisely, instead of running ourselves empty.

🕊️ Aparigraha — Non-grasping
Letting go of excess, comparison, and the need to hold on too tightly.

A gentle practice for today: pick just one Yama and carry it with you. Maybe it’s speaking more kindly to yourself, or letting go of one thing you don’t need to carry today.

Yoga is more than poses. It starts here. ✨
You did enough today.
