Blessed Samhain 🖤🕯️

As the Celtic New Year begins we journey into the darker half of the wheel of the year. A time to honour endings and shedding, welcome stillness and recognise darkness as the sacred place where renewal begins.

I will be taking a moment today to sit in prayer and light a candle in reverence to my ancestors. The ones who were well, and the ones who were not. The ones who were healed, and the ones who were not.

Of course, in ceremonial space we would only call upon the guidance and wisdom of our benevolent, healed, well and wise ancestors.

But this Samhain, I wish to honour the entirety of my ancestral lineage, both light and shadow, without condemning the parts of them shaped by the suffering they might have endured.

Our ancestors lived through wars, hardship, separation, disease and famine. And while ancestral trauma may live within our bodies, so does ancestral wisdom, courage and strength.

As the wheel turns, we are reminded that darkness is not something to fear. It is a place of rest, gestation and renewal. A time to become quiet, to listen and to remember that silence is often where wisdom is received.

So as the veil thins, I bow to my beloved ancestors, with gratitude, reverence and honour for all that came before me, and for the ways they continue to walk beside us beyond the veil.

Portals are in the decisions we make

Moment by moment

Reality is created 🌀 by @rewild.withnatalie

When was the last time you connected with your inner child?

To offer her some comfort, some support, some love. To offer her some praise, some encouragement, some hugs.

To meet her tenderly in the parts of her that were denied or rejected. The parts that learnt to self abandon through people-pleasing, to stay quiet for the comfort of others, to shrink herself so as not to be seen, and to seek love by becoming what others expected of her - the pretty girl, the nice girl, the good girl.

You can return to the innocence of what you inherently are, before familial, cultural, religious and societal conditioning took place. You can integrate those parts of you that learnt she had to conform to be loved and accepted.

The way back home to your truth can simply be through reconnecting with your inner child. To reparent her. To give her the warmth, love, and the permission that she so deserves.

This isn’t about condemning parents. Most of the time, they do the best they can with the tools they have available to them. And more than likely, some of a child’s needs will go unmet, not out of spite, but simply because of the realities of life.

It’s also not about revisiting every awful thing that has happened to you, but instead, becoming the pillar of support for the little girl within you who deserves to know that she is held and loved, just the way that she is. 🪽

So, here’s your reminder to offer yourself some compassion and reverence, whether you’re a parent to a little person, an adult person, or learning to parent your own inner child.

The abundant love of the Divine Mother offers us so much tenderness. Share a little of that love with yourself today. ♥️✨ by @rewild.withnatalie

Bringing this one back as we transition into Samhain 🧙‍♀️

A time when the veil is thin, a time where we can honour our hereditary, and time where we can call upon the wisdom, guidance and protection of our wise, healed and benevolent ancestors. A time where we can offer reverence, and courage, grace and compassion to our bloodline.

Even though the witch was demonised in earlier years, whether you resonate with her as a past life of your own, or perhaps as a women in your ancestry - there is power in remembering the collective benefit of women as oracles, midwives, seers, herbalists, alchemist and masters of magick.

There is so much history of oppression and suppression through the witch wound, alas, we can bring harmony to this through awareness and reclamation.

How will you be honouring Samhain this weekend?

Welcome to the revival of the wild women ❤️‍🔥⚔️🐉🖤

She’s sweet and delicate like the bloom of a rose, but she’s capable of marking you with her thorn if you cross the line

She’ll bless you with her tenderness and nectar, but she’ll harness her witchy hex when needed

It’s the era of the reclamation of sovereignty

No more tameness to please everyone else at the cost of your own peace - at the cost of the vulnerable who need the venom of the serpent to protect their innocence

Let’s bring the balance back as we embrace the values of those who have walked this path before us…

The destruction of Kali
The wrath of Lilith
The magick of Isis

Destruction of the flame gifts us ash to birth newness 🔥
The fallen leaves become soil to nourish new life 🍂

Each time we step into the truth of our wildness with embodied action, we bridge worlds. Midwifing from the old to the new 🐆

What kind of world do you want your daughters to grow up in? Do you want them submissive to harmful agendas, or do you want them aligned with their innate worth and values, and to protect that at all costs?

The pink rose teaches us about love, beauty, tenderness, humility and grace through the heart centre.

But she also teaches us - through thorns and stem - the potency and importance of protecting these virtues through boundaries, courage, fierceness and the warrior-ess spirit to protect what is right.

The thorn protect the delicacy of the bloom.

Side note: Even though we choose to live holistically as our first means, I am by no means against medical care - on this occasion we had received the treatment needed with full gratitude and appreciation of our accessibility to healthcare. ✨ by @rewild.withnatalie
