Animals teach us so much, if our hearts are open to learning and change🐾💕
There is a point where we wake up and realize this isn’t working. It’s now🫶

Strength is not being feared…
Strength is not cornering and giving no choices other than to lash out in retaliation with violence…

#strength is shown through real Leadership that opens the doors to understanding, peace, and global safety then prosperity as a whole 🩶

Let us be very clear. Many Americans do know what strength is, and that is why we will not be marching anymore✌️🇺🇸

All my days, I will love you…
And if I had to go back to the very start and still give you every part of my restless heart🐾💕

My love for you never ends, Orca. I carry you with me every day in what I’ve learned from your gentle soul and beautiful spirit.

4 years ago, last night, we lost the battle of keeping your physical form in my arms. I woke up to this sunrise with rainbows, but I could no longer see any beauty in the world. I was completely lost without you.

Only through you staying with me through your Love have I been able to pick myself back up and have a clearer understanding of my purpose. You have always been my purpose, and it took 4 years for me to see how you still are in such a deep and intimate way🐾🩵

I will never give up again. I will always carry your torch until my last breath, sharing Love, Joy, Peace, And Light🥹

Keep knocking me down this year, and I’ll just keep showing you how far I can keep rising🐦‍🔥

Lost my job, our health, our minds, the house, my mind again, my income making capability… but we keep getting up and making it through with friends and family by our side❤️‍🩹

The Devil didn’t know who he was dealing with, and yes… technically I learned a lot about myself along the way that I’m sure we will need in the future… but I’m ready 💪

The self doubt, fear of failure, pressure for perfection… melting away as we speak…

Yes this year has been hell in ways, but I’m coming out from the depths with a new capability to wield more Light than I ever imagined 🤍

My childhood best friend came to visit me this weekend💕

We were in 7th grade, at Katy, TX when our class read “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton. It changes our lives…

Too much to write here, but to be together in Tulsa again was such a blessing for my heart and soul 🥹

So was taking her to my happy place- @keystoneancientforest
Where we had amazing space to think and talk deeply.

I realized, as she was driving back to her family today, that much of what we are joyfully sharing healing time together now is from and about a past of overcoming obstacles and growing as the best women we can be at the present.

That was a beautiful and joyful realization- We don’t know what is up ahead these next (hopefully) 35+ years, but we are going to keep doing our best with the love we share with each other helping hold us all through💕

Of course please read and visit @ttheoutsiders
If you come through Tulsa, OK then check out the Outsiders Museum/House and amazing gift shop!

Many pictures by my friend, and some by a very kind volunteer at @theoutsidershouse

Btw, amazing music as always by @kalandramusic 🙌🫶🎶

It’s been a long time since I’ve shared much here. This video honors Orca, a companion I’ve lost, whose life continues to shape mine.

Looking back, I recognize signs of canine cognitive dysfunction (CCD) that I missed toward the end of our time together. Those lessons have stayed with me, and they’re part of how I care for Kalina now.

Our family recently went through a difficult period with her health. I believed we were nearing the end, and I felt devastated and helpless. Finding contributing health concerns and seeing her improve significantly changed my understanding of what we were facing.

Kalina still has CCD struggles. I’m only now realizing how much that experience prepared us to recognize and support her needs today, with more understanding of the connection between mind and body.

I want other families to know there is more we can do when we notice cognitive changes. There are things to investigate, care we can adapt, and ways to support comfort and connection. I know how easy it is to become lost in despair when someone you love is struggling.

That’s part of the story behind @caninecognitivevet. I’m bringing my veterinary knowledge and our family’s experience into work I hope will help others. The Canine Cognitive Check-In Tool is linked in the bio there.

Still learning with Kalina, and carrying forward the love and lessons of the companion you see here. 🐾

As I sit here, reflecting before having to pull more out of this beautiful garden💔 I’m reminded that I’m not alone. This was my home, and we fled for our safety.

Just recently healthy enough again to get it ready to sell, so we can move on to a new chapter.

But the hardest part is saying goodbye to the plants and animals that have been part of our lives for over 7 years. They all taught me so much in the hardest times❤️‍🩹

This backyard is where I sought refuge over and over, but I never understood it. It kept coming up to meet me where I was regardless of not knowing their names or how to best care for them🥹

This morning, something shifted as I looked down at a new flower growing out of nowhere… my heart said, “I want to know more and learn how to do better by you in this lifetime”

And just then a hummingbird came into the clearing and chirped repeatedly to get my attention, as if immediately confirming I was on the right track🥲

Just this past week I learned my ancestors from Wales were a family of physicians that preserved their knowledge, including herbalism❤️‍🩹

And while I have all the worries of health, home, and financial stability… I can’t deny how good it feels to tell my heart today- “Yes, I hear you. Let’s do this”❤️‍🔥

When words are hard, our voice can still be heard through our actions❤️‍🩹

I had a week of fevers in December 2025, and this idea for creating this drum came calling for action. I’m so thankful to @ash_teal and @goodywuthrietulsa for the white tail hide and pheasant feathers🫶

The willow hoop was made by DougsDrums in the US, with care. I’m thankful for the craftsmanship.

I started the work on this drum last full moon 🌕

Today I am moving forward with a much different life than I expected while creating it. I knew a huge transition, that I was preparing for, was coming…

… I just had no idea things would be like this to start the year🐾❤️‍🔥

I’m blessed to share this new friend, named after my ancestor- Nest 🐦‍🔥

And thank you @black.moth for the conversations and support 🫶

Thankful to everyone who made this transition to a new year possible🐾💜💪

We returned to the granite and quartz again, and climbed in a way, harder than ever before… but we did not accomplish the goal we set out, and so it is.

This trip was more about my partner and I individually and collectively recognizing our shadows and learning the necessity of working with them instead of against ourselves.

The day was set up for climbing failure, and I knew it. But it took growth and courage to find that nook of safety/shelter as my partner continued after I listened to my intuition, spoke my truth, and stopped there.

It was 90F that day and we had gotten too late a start. Heat exhaustion symptoms had started and we hadn’t scrambled up to where he had wanted to start actually rope climbing 🧗

Long story short, that decision possibly saved our lives or at least some serious injury. My partner was disappointed he got himself in a dangerous situation as his racing mind kept telling him to go up unprotected with a pack on in the heat, and was thankful I hadn’t followed him.

My shadow isn’t who steers this ship, but I’m slowly learning how to stop reacting based on it and listen then discern for mySelf what the best next step (or holding steady) is right for the present Me☺️

We got so much more out of the time on the property we were staying at the rest of the vacation- reading, sleeping, breathing, hiking, fire 🔥 all the things I really needed💕

I learned so much, I started journaling a little again, and I came home with a new relationship with my shadow I will keep working to improve🖤🩶🤍
