1:57:17 at the Two Cities Half Marathon! I honestly didn’t think I had a shot at finishing under two hours, but I got the job done!

If you’ve ever thought about running the Two Cities, DO IT! There’s nothing quite like running in your own backyard. by @rhettrodriguez_wx

It’s always a privilege to cover the Central Valley Honor Flight. Each of the 69 veterans on the 36th Honor Flight has a story that deserves to be heard. Clovis Unified’s Chief Communications Officer, Kelly Avants, is expecting the district to spend even more on school buses’ diesel fuel as prices continue to reach record highs.

According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of diesel is $8.50.

The district has 176 buses that cover a 200-mile square boundary, taking students to and from school.

Avants says there isn’t too much they can do to crack down on the amount of fuel they use, but they are issuing fuel-saving guidelines to their bus drivers. by @rhettrodriguez_wx

Retired Fresno Diocese employees are now scrambling after they received a letter last month saying that they will no longer receive retirement benefits starting next year.

The retirement plan was frozen at the end of June. But the diocese says Christian Brothers Services, the company responsible for managing the money, is the reason there isn’t enough for continuing payments.

The diocese says it has explored legal options to transfer the money into a retirement plan of their own, but said that plan would not be possible with the church filing for bankruptcy. by @rhettrodriguez_wx

I can finally say I am a meteorologist!!!🌦️
I never thought I would go back to school after graduating from Fresno State in 2022, but never say never.
I can’t thank my family, friends and, most of all, my two chief meteorologists, @ajfoxwx and @laurenwallacewx enough.
AJ and Lauren have been so helpful over the last two years, always finding the time to answer my questions, help me understand concepts while in school.
It’s been a long journey, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. by @rhettrodriguez_wx
