Behind the scenes of my work 🧵✨
From an intuition 💡comes the design, square by square, using the traditional method. Often it takes me months! 😅
1️⃣ The project: I print the draft and stitch 🪡, refining the palette as I go to optimize the shading.
2️⃣ The finishing: I complete the piece and take photos 📸for the covers.
3️⃣ The design and printing: I use dedicated software to assemble the cover, details, instructions, and my signature. After that, I create the final PDF and send everything to a printing house for professional printing on coated paper, then manage the shipping of orders to trusted shops.✈️
In my work, I don't use AI: I know it takes hours😅😅, but I prefer to do things the "old-fashioned" way. I don't create patterns with a single click, I remain 100% human, made with love and passion into everything I do 🥰🥰
A thought... 💭🤔
Are you sure that patterns generated solely by AI are safe and tested for stitching?
I'm not asking you to buy my patterns, but to support REAL cross-stitch pattern creators: let's keep this world from filling up with digital garbage.😃😃🤗🤗

We have got something extremely special for you 😍
And are super super excited to reveal to you all.

The November project for @cottonandtwinecrossstitchbox has been designed by everyone’s favourite Michela from Crocette a Gogo - @ricamidimarula AND it’s truly beautiful.

Michela has treated us to a wonderful Christmas design full of charm in a vintage Sampler style - it’s exquisite. It’s the kind of design that will become an heirloom for many festive Seasons to come.

The design is stitched on our specially dyed fabric from @zweigartneedleworkfabrics in a traditional festive colour palette of @dmc_embroidery threads giving the finished piece an elegant Christmas feel 🎄🎄

Subscriptions are now open for this fabulous project - you can treat yourself to the full Gift Box which this month includes festive fabric and red pompom trim to finish the project together with the sweetest festive gift and very tasty sweet treat from @joypots

Of course we also have other subscription options - either a full kit pack or just a PDF download - the choice is yours.

We look forward to stitching with you on this special project ❤️

Our 24 yr old daughter loves Halloween - always has since she was little. She especially loves the Halloween decor at HomeSense. So I cross-stitched this design over the Spring/Summer for her decor. Thanks to my MIL for finishing it into a pillow with her sewing machine. A family effort. See previous post for an additional Halloween pattern. Happy Halloween & stay safe, everyone. 🎃

Pattern by @ricamidimarula on Etsy using 18 ct vintage grey Aida from @millionofstitches using called for DMC

New embroidery test for a new pattern! 🪡 Have you ever tried 40ct linen? I'm testing a new variant called "Ruin Linen" by @foxandrabbitdesigns
and I am absolutely hooked!🤩🤩
Even though many stitchers recommend using just 1 strand of DMC on this count, I'm stitching with 2 strands. It’s a bit more challenging 😅, but the 3D, raised effect you get is amazing and I just love how it looks!
What about you? How many strands do you usually use on 40ct linen? 1 or 2? Let me know down below! 👇

Purely 100% Human-made art. No AI involved🎨✏️🪡
