Please stick to the end for this video. It Will change your perspective.

Today, I met an 8-year-old boy I’ll never forget.

He was carrying his 1-year-old brother on his back while walking the market, selling handmade trinkets. I was told he makes the 14 km round trip every day. His day starts around 8 a.m. and doesn’t end until about 10 p.m.

I couldn’t stop thinking about him.

I know I can’t change his world in a single day. But today, I could make his day a little easier.

We shared a meal, packed food for him to take home to his family, arranged a ride so he and his little brother didn’t have to walk back, and gave him enough money to cover what he might have earned that day.

It wasn’t a grand gesture. It was simply what I could do in that moment.

The truth is, I think he gave me far more than I gave him.

He reminded me how precious life is, how easy it is to take our own burdens for granted, and how one small act of kindness can mean everything to someone.

I’m planning to go back to the market to find him again, learn more about his story, and see if there’s another way I can help.

Some of the most unforgettable parts of travel aren’t the places you visit—they’re the people who quietly change your heart.

I almost laughed when I found out these birds can cost thousands of dollars in the United States.

Meanwhile, here in Australia, they’re just hanging out at the park like they own the place.

It’s funny how something considered rare and exotic in one part of the world can be completely ordinary somewhere else.

Travel has a way of reminding us that perspective changes everything.

Have you ever traveled somewhere and seen something locals take for granted that would be a huge deal back home?

Four weeks of ignoring the signs… numbness in my arm, then my face, then the worst headache of my life. I kept saying “I’m fine” because honestly? I was scared of the ER bill.

One car, scarce Ubers, new city, high insurance costs — it all felt easier to wait. But that decision came with a level of stress I can’t put into words. Please don’t ignore the little things your body is trying to tell you. 💔

This is Part 1 of my story. Part 2 will share what happened the moment I walked into the ER.
