It’s official! My new book, Trapped: Break Free From Offense, releases October 8th. 🕊️

This past year, God has been tugging on my heart about the spirit of offense. I have seen countless families, marriages, and friendships divided over one thing: an offense.

Offense has caused people to live trapped instead of free. It has robbed so many of their joy, love, and peace.

My prayer behind this book is that every person who reads it would become quick to love and hard to offend. That we would no longer allow offense to divide us or destroy us. That we would live like Christ, lead with love, and refuse to let offense take root in our hearts. by @richardelamora

Spirit-Led Singles & Marriage Is Out Now❤️

To my single friends, I poured my heart into this devotional. Every page is written to help you grow, heal, and become a healthy version of you, so you enter a relationship whole, grounded, and led by discernment. This is not about rushing into love but about becoming the right person before the relationship ever begins.

To my married friends, your marriage matters more than you realize. The way you love each other, fight for each other, and choose each other every day is speaking louder than you think. In a world where marriage is often wounded or looked down upon, God is using healthy, Spirit-led marriages to remind people what a healthy marriage looks like.

I pray the bless you! #godlydating #godlydating101 #relationships by @richardelamora

Trust His Timing

Sometimes we can get so caught up in wanting God to move that we forget the importance of trusting Him while we wait.

Oftentimes, our impatience will cause us to move ahead of God instead of waiting on God.

Remember, what God has promised you will never require you to compromise your obedience to receive it.

Don’t allow your impatience to interfere with what God is preparing for you.

Guard Your Heart Not Your Hurt🕊️

We are called to guard our heart the scripture teaches us.

But many times we aren’t doing that. Instead of guarding our heart, we are guarding our hurt.

And anytime you guard your hurt it affects the condition of your life.

My friend’s do not allow the enemy to cause you to guard your hurt, offense or a wound because it will ultimately trap you and leave you in bondage.

DON’T LOWER YOUR STANDARDS 🕊️

One thing I’ve learned is that the right relationship will never require you to compromise your relationship with God.

If you have to become less obedient to God just to keep someone in your life, you have to ask yourself if that relationship is really from Him.

Remember, you can compromise on preferences, but you should never compromise on convictions.

The person God has for you won’t require you to walk away from Him just to walk with them. by @richardelamora

The Cost of Leadership 🕊️

One thing I’ve learned about leadership is that everyone wants the influence, but not everyone wants the inconvenience of sacrifice.

We want the platform, but are we willing to pay the price?

Because leadership will cost you something. It will cost you your comfort, your time, your pride, and sometimes even your popularity!!

Jesus reminds us in Luke 14:28 to count the cost before we begin.

Remember, you can’t carry the weight of leadership if you’re unwilling to pay the price of sacrifice! by @richardelamora

Spirit Led🕊️

Everyday you have the choice to feed your flesh or feed your spirit.

And what you feed will Lead You.

So if you want to be govern by God’s word spend time in His Presence.

The more you’re around God the more you will be led by Him. by @richardelamora

Trust His Leading 🕊️

One thing I’ve learned in my walk with God is that just because something was good for you in one season doesn’t mean it’s God’s best for you in the next.

And oftentimes God will change our plans, not because we did something wrong, but because the season is done.

Think about Elijah. God led him to the brook, but when the brook dried up, God told him to move. (1 Kings 17:7-9)

Remember, just because God led you there doesn’t mean He’s called you to stay there.

Sometimes the greatest thing holding us back isn’t the enemy. It’s our unwillingness to move when God says move.

Because if we refuse to move, we refuse to grow.

Trust His Guidance. by @richardelamora

Spirit of Lust🕊️

One of the greatest deceptions of lust is that it promises pleasure but eventually produces bondage.

And here’s the thing..

You cannot overcome something you keep ENTERTAINING!

That’s why the Bible doesn’t tell us to fight lust. It tells us to flee from it.

Sometimes walking in freedom requires us to remove certain influences, unfollow certain accounts, and stop feeding the very things we’re asking God to deliver us from.

Remember, what you continue to feed will continue to grow.

“Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace…” 2 Timothy 2:22 NKJV by @richardelamora

BEFORE YOU DATE🕊️

Before you date anyone, pray and talk to God!!

Because sometimes labels can be deceiving.

Someone may call themselves a Christian, but do they have the fruit of a Christian? They may quote the verse, but do they live out the verse?

When we ask for His guidance, He gives us His direction. God sees what we cannot see, and He knows where every path leads.

Trusting Him protects your heart, your future, and your purpose.

Don’t rush what requires discernment.

Let God lead, and you won’t have to recover later.

Forgiveness🕊️

One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself is the gift of forgiveness.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean what they did was okay. It doesn’t mean the pain wasn’t real. It simply means you’re no longer allowing what someone did to you to have power over you.

I’ve learned that when we hold on to unforgiveness, we often become prisoners of the very people who hurt us.

But here’s the beautiful thing about forgiveness. You don’t need an apology from someone to experience freedom from what they did.

Remember, forgiveness isn’t about excusing their actions. It’s about freeing your heart.

Forgiveness doesn’t change what happened yesterday, but it can change how you live today.

“And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32 NKJV by @richardelamora
