Finally posting #bobbakerday photos and a jokey video. More to come. I can’t express how #joyful #inspiring and #uplifting it was to perform for so many people alongside the students and coaches @cirqueschool 🎪❤️🎪

Sunday was also @sthompsonart and my wedding #manniversary . I can’t think of a better way to celebrate it than doing what we love alongside people we love. My heart is full.

Thanks to @vizualventurz @kiayamangan @stevenfywong @aerialheather for photos and video. To @scottyiswhoiam and @johnedgarpark for rigging and setup. And, of course, @bobbakermarionettes for inviting us to be a part of this magical day, as well as @aloysiagavre and @rcamphuis for being the team who made it happen.

More to come. by @rickandreoli

#babyphotos ❤️😂 My niece is visiting my mom and started snooping. I see a couple things:
👶🏻Always cute
👶🏻Always sleeping
👶🏻Always interested in learning about Native American culture with a drum kit made from an old Folgers coffee can.

Carleen Hemric has died. She was my junior high journalism teacher who told me I should become a professional writer (while other teachers told me you couldn’t make a living doing that). But she was more than that.

A second mom. A mentor. A friend who listened through many rocky times. Someone who helped me keep my head on straight after I’d moved to LA. An editor who read countless self-indulgent short stories (and a few really good ones, too). She always encouraged me to write about my family, and she was always right. Those have always been my best sellers.

She loved Steve and the home we built. And she proudly displayed his Coco print on her wall. It was a favorite Disney film.

She taught me many colorful southern sayings. For example:

“He’s so stupid he couldn’t piss a hole in the snow.”

“He doesn’t have the brains God gave a goat.”

“I hated him so much, I wouldn’t piss in his mouth if his insides were on fire.”

(My favorite. And I used a version of it when I wrote on the nighttime soap opera #FashionHouse 🤩 She couldn’t stop laughing when I told her that.)

❤️Carleen is gone but alive in my heart and words. I’ll miss our chats but treasure the life she encouraged me to live.

Much love to her daughter @jmcglo by @rickandreoli

#thingsfoundatmymomshouse 😂🧓🏻An ongoing photo series of things once on sale that my #mom still treasures.

The big win in this haul? Wrapping paper with @sthompsonart artwork on it that @target sold many years ago. Plus stuff from @biglots when they went out of business.

What's Happening!! celebrates its 50th anniversary this year -- and I LOVED working on the promotion. I can't take credit for this video, but it brings me great joy. (I laugh every time Raj gets surprised coming into the house, but the whole thing makes me smile.)

You can catch What's Happening!! on the Sony One FAVES channel on @primevideo every Monday and Tuesday, all day long. Plus, we have some fun special surprises in store coming soon. 😉
