POSTS STORIES REELS

New headshots from the incomparable @michaelroud he's my favorite! Shooting with him is not easy (or cheap)! Lol can't rely on being pretty. 😩 He's going to make you do the work to convey the message behind your photos. Worth every dollar! by @rikkideenelson

🏈MY SUPER BOWL COMMERCIAL 🏈

Of all the commercials I’ve filmed, this one by far was the most fun! It was an honor and a privilege to have worked with the legendary @therealmaryjblige to film the official Super Bowl commercial. She was every good thing you can think of- gracious, funny, personable. It was a loooong 10+ hour shoot. She constantly checked on us. It was directed by the incomparable F. Gary Gray. What a blessing! Thank you @pepsi. This halftime show is gonna be CRAZY!

Shout out to my amazing agent Donna @genesisartistsagency and my favorite place to audition @danbellcasting_official 🙌🏾 Thank you all. by @rikkideenelson

X-Men is one of my favorite series so when I ran into Sir Patrick Stewart one evening in North Hollywood, I had to take a picture with him after dinner. He was so kind and gracious. I remember when he asked "May I?" before he put his arm around me.

A true gentleman. So talented. Iconic. Sadly, he won't get to see his final project out in December. But what a blessing to work, doing what you love, until death. 🕊️ by @rikkideenelson

He's my everything. 🎂 by @rikkideenelson

Wow! Had no idea we'd get so much action on that last reel! Thanks for the love everyone. @thesovereignscrown has gotten SO many messages and new client inquiries! We're going to be working together on creating an Arkansas Loc Society, a loc community in Arkansas (for meet ups, events, and a space for sharing tips and finding stylists in the area) because there are so many men and women with locs here!

But I realized, I hadn't shared my own loc journey details.

Will I loc again? Absolutely! But there are some things I'll definitely do differently next time. by @rikkideenelson

Today, means so much to me! Some of you were around way back then when my son and I survived preeclampsia. We had a tough time! But we made it.

@preeclampsia.foundation heard my story back then and invited me to participate in a panel at the Radcliffe Institute at Harvard University. Today, I am the mistress of ceremonies at the first ever Promise Walk for Preeclampsia in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. This is just another chapter in the journey of spreading awareness and fighting a good fight. by @rikkideenelson

I feel like a cat with 9 lives. Every time I cut my hair I really feel like someone new. Usually a big chop comes out of necessity- ruined my curl pattern with heat several times. This time, it was for liberation.

@rocktowncolorqueen did the honors of big chopping for me! She cut my bob too. I'll be back in her chair when I get a couple more inches! 😄 Shout out to @speedy_braids_queen @prettylocscalifornia and @thesovereignscrown for your role in my beautiful loc journey. I shall return in 3-5 years! Lol by @rikkideenelson

2:13am and I'm looking at pics and videos... thinking about the fact that I will have a 9 year-old next month. He was nearly 3 in this vid! Smart and strong, tall, articulate, full of joy, excited about everything. Time is a thief. Being his mother is the best thing I've ever done! 😭❤️ by @rikkideenelson

Omg I laugh at this every time I watch it. When Edison went through his gold tooth phase! 😆 by @rikkideenelson

Nerd out with me for a sec. I haven't gotten into House of the Dragon! No good reason why... idk just feel like I'm cheating on Game of Thrones as my one true love. 😩

I see HOD has much more representation 👀 GOT only had the Unsullied slaves and a couple others. So I'm feeling motivated and inspired! Your thoughts? by @rikkideenelson
