Preparing for the pounce! #cats by @rilely

Our anniversary weekend at SingleThread ended with a tour of the farm where we learned about the sustainable, all natural practices they’ve developed to handle everything from pest repellant to fertilizing the soil and planting cover crops. It all goes to feed the restaurant and local community.

The best part is we got to taste our way through the entire tour, picking fresh herbs, greens and veg, and then we ended with a gorgeous temaki picnic in the shade of a vine-covered A-frame!

Plus we got a surprise guest appearance from @kyleconnaughton who was marveling at the incredible growth of the sunchokes and telling us about his plans for dishes to utilize all of the changing crops.

All the respect in the world to @lumberjackieo @kyleconnaughton and the whole farm team! by @rilely

22 years of adventure and love with @rilely and I can’t imagine a more perfect way to celebrate than dinner and a relaxing night in the gorgeous suite @singlethreadfarms Inn! Countless memories from trips around the world, 3 moves across the country, new family and friends - we’ve come a long way since sharing buffalo bites at Ruby Tuesday in Syracuse all those years ago!

Thank you to the whole team at SingleThread for taking such great care of us. You’ve truly mastered hospitality. And man, the Restaurant is firing on all cylinders right now - every single dish was precise, balanced, delicate, and showcased the absolute beauty of seasonal, fresh produce and proteins. The magic of having your own farm (kudos @lumberjackieo!). Thanks @kyleconnaughton @lumberjackieo and the team! by @rilely
