Swipe through for our 3 step process to get you out of pain and feeling stronger than ever 🏋️

Performance Physical Therapy at Ripple Boston isn’t about getting you out of pain and then sending you out the door (just to get injured again).

We evaluate, we treat and we get you moving 💪

Once we identify the root cause of your pain through high-level evaluations, you’ll progress into your PT plan. The idea is that you come in with pain, and the first few weeks are designed around getting you back to your baseline.

But who wants to just return to their baseline? Not us! So we set the bar higher so you can crush goals that you didn’t even know were still attainable!

As you progress, you start spending less time on the table, and more time in the gym. ✨This is where the real magic happens and what a lot of Physical Therapy gets wrong✨

Being able to lift weights, feel strong, and move with freedom is how we get you out of pain forever, stronger and back to the lifestyle you want to live!

Have questions? Our inbox is always open. We also offer a free discovery call to determine where you’re at, what your goals are and create a plan to get you feeling and performing your best!

Stoked to reintroduce Kristyn, our new Lead Physical Therapist of Education 📚

Physical therapy is constantly evolving as research changes, tech advances and there’s just always more to learn. That’s why at Ripple, we’ve woven continued ed, mentorship and collab opportunities into our work structure. Because in order to keep providing the best care possible for all of you, our clinicians need to evolve right along with it.

That’s where Kristyn comes in 🙌 As the Lead PT of Education, her focus is on creating opportunities for our team to keep learning, asking questions, challenging ideas and growing together. Our goal is to take what we’re learning & turn it into better clinical decision-making and better care for our patients.

Swipe to see how we approach continued ed and why we’re so excited for Kristyn to take the lead on managing the education ripple effect 🌀 A team that keeps learning means better care for you, and that’s what this is all about.

But don’t worry, you’ll still catch @dr.k.alonzo_dpt treating clients so be sure to hit up the link in bio to get on her schedule 🗓️

Is your PT clearing you to run based on vibes? 🚗💦

Return to run after ACL isn’t a date on the calendar. It’s a checklist:
✅ Joint Ready
✅ Quad Strength
✅ Capacity
✅ Impact Tolerance.

Pass the tests, then hit the pavement 🏃

At Ripple Physical Therapy, we test every one of these before your first run, so you’re not guessing.

Rehabbing an ACL in Boston? Hit up the link in bio and book an eval. Let’s get you cleared and back out there 🤙

This week a hot new bombshell has entered the Ripple villa: Meet 〰️ Shockwave Therapy 〰️

We’re stoked to share that we now offer focused Shockwave Therapy at our Back Bay clinic! We know you might have a few questions so here’s a quick run down and if you want more details, hit up the blog in the link in bio!

〰️ What is shockwave therapy? 〰️
It uses acoustic pressure waves to treat chronic tendon & fascia pain. Those are sound waves, not electricity. The waves pass through the skin into the irritated tissue.

How does it work?
🌀 It restarts healing. Chronic tendon pain often means the tissue is stuck. Shockwave appears to boost blood flow and cellular activity, pushing the tendon back toward repair.

🌀 It calms pain. Shockwave can reduce the nerve signaling that keeps long-standing pain turned up.

🌀 It breaks up calcium. In calcific shoulder tendinopathy, shockwave helps break down the calcium deposits inside the tendon.

…But like anything, Shockwave Therapy is not a magic fix and it doesn’t replace strength training 💪 So, at Ripple, shockwave therapy is always paired with an individualized strength plan.

Interested in trying it out or learning more? Ask your PT at your next session and if you’re not already on the calendar, book an eval and we’ll get you started!
