One of the questions I get asked most often by my makeup clients and students:

“Is using a sheet mask every day good for my skin?”
“Should I use a sheet mask before my makeup appointment?”

Actually, most makeup artists probably wouldn’t recommend using a sheet mask right before your appointment.

Too many products and too much hydration can make your base slip, pill, or not sit properly.

And if your skin is already sensitive, using a sheet mask every single day may sometimes make it even more sensitive.

That doesn’t mean sheet masks are bad.
It simply means more hydration isn’t always better.

Some days your skin needs extra hydration.
Some days it needs calming.
And sometimes, it simply needs less.

For makeup prep, I recommend keeping it lightweight but hydrating enough to prep your skin without overloading it.

That’s also why I created Dew Glow Serum as a 3-in-1: Serum + SPF + Makeup Prep. 🩵

By simplifying multiple skin-prep steps into one, you can make your makeup routine quicker, easier, and much more beginner-friendly.

Good makeup starts with balanced skin.
Give your skin what it needs that day. ✨
