💐 by @roasterlady

Teaching coffee roasting is not simply about showing someone how to operate a roasting machine.

True education is about understanding the reasoning behind every roasting decision, managing heat transfer with confidence, validating those decisions through sensory analysis, and transforming knowledge into a consistent and sustainable production process.

At the RoastingWorks Campus, this is exactly how we approach our training. It is more than a training facility—it is an experience center where professionals gain hands-on practice on real production roasters, analyze challenges together, and develop the confidence to make informed roasting decisions.

As someone who has spent years both roasting coffee and manufacturing coffee roasting equipment, my goal is not only to share knowledge, but to help professionals build the competence to confidently manage their own production.

One of the highlights of this training was working with Ibrahima. After investing in his roasting equipment for his new coffee business, he joined our training program. Although he is new to the industry, his curiosity, discipline, and commitment to learning allowed him to make remarkable progress throughout the program.

For me, the greatest achievement is not handing out certificates—it is seeing professionals leave with the confidence, technical understanding, and practical skills to take full control of their own roasting operation.

Because real education begins when knowledge becomes production.

Garanti Roasters in Switzerland 🇨🇭
✍️ By @RoasterLady

Every project brings new insights, and our recent journey to Switzerland was no exception. This experience reinforced the importance of seamless supplier coordination, clear communication, and a customer-centric approach in delivering not just a product, but a complete roasting solution.
Atlantica 20 – industrial 20kg directly heated & fully automated coffee roaster was successfully installed and commissioned by our technical team—comprising an electrical technician, installation supervisor, roasting master, and company representative. Beyond installation, we ensured that the customer received detailed training on operation and maintenance, emphasizing the importance of precision, consistency, and sustainability in coffee roasting.

This experience highlighted three key lessons:
1. Supplier Coordination is Key: A well-prepared supplier not only delivers a product but also supports the customer in making the most of it. Our on-site commissioning ensured that the machine was set up correctly, avoiding future complications.
2. Communication Bridges Gaps: Misalignment between customers, suppliers, and service teams can lead to delays and inefficiencies. Proactive, clear, and solution-oriented communication is the foundation of any successful project.
3. Customer-Centricity Builds Long-Term Success: Providing post-sales support and standing by the customer beyond delivery strengthens trust and fosters long-lasting business relationships.

As part of the Garanti Roasters Advanced Support and Sustainability Program (GRASS), we are committed to ensuring the ongoing success of our customers. This project in Switzerland was yet another reminder that business sustainability is not just about selling machines—it’s about delivering value through trust, expertise, and a commitment to shared success.
Would love to hear from others—What are your experiences with supplier-customer coordination, and how do you ensure seamless execution in your projects?
I’m looking forward to my next project and trip!

We are thrilled to announce that Garanti Roasters has received the prestigious iF Design Award for the first time this year. The award, presented last week at the iF Design Award Night, celebrates our commitment to impactful design with FOCHA : Form Building Visiual Collection by designer Tansel Ünal, Can UMSU in the specialty coffee and cocoa industry.

This recognition not only marks a significant milestone for us as the first company in Türkiye’s coffee and cocoa roasting industry to be honored in this way, but it also energizes our ongoing dedication to excellence in engineering and design. We extend our deepest thanks to the iF DESIGN team and to everyone in the specialty coffee industry, especially the SCA awarded FOCHA roaster, for inspiring us.
