I’m running to unite the NDP, make workers’ voices, and the voices of everyday people, the driving force of Canadian politics. I hope you’ll join me!

POSTS STORIES REELS

As a dock worker, I was taught early: nothing moves unless we move it together.

That lesson has guided me my whole life.

But the ruling class doesn’t want us together. They want us divided — blaming our neighbour, blaming the worker beside us, blaming anyone but those at the top.

That ends here.

I’m running for leader of the NDP because it’s time to build a movement where workers are united and our voices are finally heard in Ottawa.

This isn’t about me. It’s about us.

Workers built this party. Now it’s time for workers to lead it.

@rob_the_longshoreman, President of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union of Canada endorses Armor Valor in his run for nomination with @onecityvancouver for city council.

We need working people, representing working people.
Working people need to be at the forefront of our conversations at all levels of government, and that starts here locally.

Vote Armor Valor May 3rd-May 10th. Vote for bringing workers back to where we all belong.

We need real change, we need real progress, we need real connection. We don't need division, we need solidarity.

Let's meet the moment. Friends, join us in this fight. Together we can make real change.

I would like to congratulate Avi and his team and I look forward to getting to work & rebuild this party together ✊

To my friends, Heather, Tanille, and Tony, thank you for the wild ride. We always had each other’s backs and I know that our party is stronger because of you.

I am proud that our campaign put working class Canadians front and centre. The many conversations I had with members and non-members alike from coast-to-coast-to-coast have made me hopeful about our future. Thank you to everyone who took the time to chat with me and share a glimpse of their day-to-day realities. And to my supporters, volunteers, donors, and campaign team, I am proud of what we were able to accomplish. Thank you.

My friends, the class war is not done, and neither am I. This is not the end, but the beginning. Let’s get to work by @rob.ashton.ndp

I’ve had the privilege of speaking with members from Coast to coast to coast, and I’m hopeful because I’ve seen what we’re capable of. When we come together, we don’t just fight. We win by @rob.ashton.ndp

We built this country. Every bridge. Every road. Every school. Every home. Every hospital.

We built this party. So let’s rebuild it together. We’re going to bring it back to the people by @rob.ashton.ndp

Winnipeg! It was incredible meeting with New Democrats, Manitobans and workers last night in the birthplace of our country’s labour movement. As this campaign comes to a close, I’m more confident in our movement, to bring this party to working people, than ever. Together we will bring this party back, from the shop floor to the floor of parliament by @rob.ashton.ndp

Some Friday morning scenes connecting with members from coast to coast to coast at the NDP convention in Winnipeg.

Come and join us tonight at @devilmaybeer from 8 PM onward! by @rob.ashton.ndp

Winnipeg has played an oversized role in the history of our country and the labour movement; in this moment where workers face uncertainty, there's no better place for the NDP to assemble.

I can't wait to see all of you at @devilmaybeer (steps from Union Station) this Friday night. (RSVP in bio)

I am heartbroken to hear of last night’s on-the-job death of Pilot Antoine Forest and First Officer MacKenzie Gunther on Air Canada Express flight no. 8646.

My thoughts are with their families and loved ones, as well as with the flight attendant and passengers injured in the crash at LaGuardia International Airport.

The skill and bravery of the flight crew and emergency responders was instrumental in preventing further injury and loss of life.

While the FAA's investigation into this accident is ongoing, it’s clear that US air traffic controllers are understaffed, overworked and exhausted.

This tragedy is the direct result of the President’s government shutdown since February 14, making public safety conditional on Congressional funding of his racist paramilitary force (ICE).

Last night’s tragedy was preventable.

[UPDATED EVENT TIME] I may have grown up in BC, but you know this salt water boy has a soft spot for the East Coast and its incredible people. 😉

In 2009, Nova Scotia made history by electing the first NDP government east of Ontario. Join me this Sunday to discuss how we can repeat this win in Atlantic communities from Yarmouth County to Labrador. (Link in bio) by @rob.ashton.ndp

En route to the NDP convention in #winnipeg after stopping in Kamloops. Grateful to have the support of so many New Democrats and union activists.
