We brought my mom to Mexico City last year, and we saw all the art. We saw the first movements in the womb. We welcomed Rumi to the world. And we welcomed Bekka’s mom to Europe and to our home. We made our first trip as new parents, to Malmö and Copenhagen. And we saw Lucas holding his little brother in his arms. The brother he had always wanted. 2025 was Rumi’s year. by @robindowling
Welcome Rumi. Son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and cutie pie. Born on July 16th, 2025 ♥️ by @robindowling
Friendsgiving 🍗🥟🥗🥘🍩🥧 Everyone brought a piece of themselves from home, and we enjoyed food and sweets together from Vietnam 🇻🇳 Colombia 🇨🇴 Brazil 🇧🇷 Italy 🇮🇹 Afghanistan 🇦🇫 Poland 🇵🇱 France 🇫🇷 Morocco 🇲🇦 Trinidad 🇹🇹 USA 🇺🇸 South Africa 🇿🇦 Ghana 🇬🇭 Sweden 🇸🇪 Finland 🇫🇮 Russia 🇷🇺 Mexico 🇲🇽 Somalia 🇸🇴 El Salvador 🇸🇻 Thank you so much to each and everyone that joined us for this year’s edition of a growing tradition of gathering friends, and friends of friends, around food ♥️ by @robindowling
American roadtrip pt 4, Los Angeles. We finally got to the city, after a flat tire, endless winding roads and seemingly endless hypnotic straight line roads. We had so much good food in LA. Fresh Mexican seafood, fresh Mexican street food and some good old fashioned American fast food. We met up with our whole American family and celebrated Lucas’ birthday. I loved seeing all of them there for him and for us all ♥️ by @robindowling
American roadtrip pt 3, Sequoia. We drove up the mountain on winding roads, from long sleeve warm to jacket scarf and hat cold within an hour. The fog enveloped the trees and the road, the mountains in the distance and the pointy black spike stumps left standing after past forest fires. At the top of the mountain were the monarchs of trees. The giants of the woods. Sequoia trees, the tall redwoods, some more than 3000 years old. The colors of the woods were deep green, reddish brown and foggy white. One of the most beautiful places I’ve seen. by @robindowling
American roadtrip pt 2, Yosemite. We saw Half Dome, El Capitan and Glacier Point. Such incredibly beautiful scenery and landscape. We also learned that the enormous rocks in Yosemite were covered by 200 meters of ice during the ice age, on top of the rocks. Hence the name Glacier Point (fourth slide). by @robindowling
American roadtrip pt 1, San Francisco. I finally made it to the garage on 2066 Crist Drive. by @robindowling
