Found this in the family house clear out.. When I was a wee bairn I had a big interest in volcanoes! One of my dad's best pals knew someone who had just come back from a volcanic research programme in Iceland and he managed to get this piece of pumice for me, in a wee box and everything, collected from the western slopes of the Hekla volcano, 26th July 1979 Still remember I was absolutely made up and couldn't believe that I actually had a piece of a remote Icelandic volcano I could hold in my hand!!! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ‹๐Ÿ’ Now to find a space for it in the house here at Kilmichael ๐Ÿ˜Š #rock #rockstar #hardrock by @robinjhurt
Taking time to show love and huge gratitude to my dear friend Kieran Kelly after an amazing experience on Saturday night playing his Garden Gigs venue, a wee diamond of a spot hidden deep in south Dublin suburbia. Kieran has had some of the biggest names in Irish music playing there recently from Declan Sinnott to Keith Donald and so many more. It was truly an honour to be asked by Kieran to play a show there, not just any but the last one of the season this year! Here's a wee clip of Kieran and myself tearing up the outro of McAlpines Fusiliers ๐Ÿ’ž๐ŸŽต๐Ÿ”ฅ Also it meant a huge amount to have another very special guest, my great pal Brendan Hickey, who got up with me for two of the numbers we perform together in The Launch Crew (Whelan's November 17th folks!!) Much love to the gentleman who came up to me after the snow and told me it made him feel the same way he felt when he first heard Welcome Here Kind Stranger by Paul Brady... Thats a compliment of the insanely highest level for me ๐Ÿ™ especially as Paul was one of my biggest influences Makes it all worthwhile when your music reaches someone like that!!! Thank you Moira Owens for the video! And to everyone who came โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™ @kieran8378 @brendanhickeypoet @moira.owens69 by @robinjhurt

Had an emotional few days back in Scotland as the family home in Penicuik gets the final clear out and goes on the market ๐Ÿฅบ But had a load of fun with great friends who mean the world to me ๐Ÿ’ž 1) Dougal helped me so much 2) Dacia Logan for the win, you could fit a small country in the back 3) Clearing out the old bedroom, so empty now 4) With my great Canadian buddy Mike and his beautiful family on the farm in Fife 5) Mike's dog Toby, who is Dougal's dad!!! Reunited! 6) Desperate attempt at silly faces with the one and only Andrew B Jackson in Pitlochry 7) "I Swear" I only turned on my phone by accident and didn't mean to record this fella with tourettes who you might have heard of, who came to hide in peace and quiet at the back of the ferry only to find me there already ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ @abjackson1 @mctaggart.laura sorry I didn't take a Pine Marten selfie we were all having too much fun! ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ๐Ÿ’™ by @robinjhurt
