The Choreography of a Celebration 🪩 In this month’s issue, Robin Selden of @marciaseldencatering takes us behind the scenes of exceptional event hospitality, where every detail is choreographed to delight guests and keep them wondering what’s next, from cocktails shaken to perfection and roaming caviar to made-to-order omakase, tableside finishing touches, or a dessert reveal that steals the spotlight. The magic is in the details guests may never see: the perfectly timed cues, the countless hands at work, and the team anticipating every need before it’s even expressed. And just when you think the night has reached its grand finale the lights shift, the music builds, and the dance floor becomes the ultimate encore. 🕺 Because exceptional hospitality isn’t just about what’s on the plate. It’s about how an experience makes you feel. Learn more about the art of creating unforgettable events from an award-winning event planner in this month’s issue of #WestportLifestyle. #linkinbio ✍️: @robinselden 📸: @danielcolvinphotography by @robinselden
Houston, we have a problem. I bought another @layercakeny painting and I’m already excited to make it a trifecta! His work is literally like potato chips as you can’t just have one or two! Officialy a collector and not even remotely mad about it🤖🩷 by @robinselden
PinkAid’s Pink Royale at @mitchellswestport was one for the books! The warriors who walked the runway stole the spotlight in gorgeous @veronicabeard designs, while our SpaghettiOs brought the fun to the after-party! From fabulous hors d’oeuvres and over-the-top stations to burger Wellingtons, hand-painted cookies, and our signature candy box, we served up a night to remember🩷🩷🩷 The sweetest part? Every bite supported @pinkaidorg and the incredible families they serve🩷a cause close to our hearts and one we’re proud to sponsor. Hearing @mstinaknowles share her powerful story was such a meaningful part of the event. Her honesty, strength, and inspiring journey made the night even more special. Huge love to our MSC dream team and the fabulous @mitchellswestport crew for making the magic happen! Same time next year? We’re already hungry for more! #PinkAid #CompassionUntilTheresACure #MarciaSeldenCatering #palmroyale by @robinselden
“There is a moment before every great party begins when the room is perfectly still.” That’s the choreography behind every MSC event … read the full story, “The Choreography of a Celebration,” our feature in the October issue of @westportlifestyle . As Robin puts it: “When it is done beautifully, guests never see the work. They simply feel the energy.”  With gratitude to @westportlifestyle and @danielcolvinphotography for capturing it so beautifully.  Link to the full article in our bio. “There is a moment before every great party begins when the room is perfectly still.” That’s the choreography behind every MSC event — read the full story, “The Choreography of a Celebration,” our feature in the October issue of Westport Lifestyle. Happy 62nd anniversary to the best parents ever ❤️ Mom and Dad, you built one hell of a life, an incredible family and a love story that is still being written. How lucky are we all that it all started with the two of you?! You are the BEST💋Love you tons @marciaselden @joelselden by @robinselden
Well, this is pretty LOVELY… or should we say LOVERLY! We are beyond excited to be named Best Caterer 2026 on the Loverly List! Awards like this may have our name on them, but they belong to our incredible team. The wildly talented, hardworking, creative humans who cook it, plate it, pour it, serve it, style it, schlepp it and somehow make it all look effortless. You truly are the best in the business and the reason we get to celebrate moments like this. So proud. So grateful. And definitely raising a glass to this one! Thank you, @loverly for the incredible honor. We are feeling ALL the love at MSC! 📸 @danielcolvinphotography by @robinselden

“If I can inspire one person who thinks hospitality is just about the glamorous side of hotels or real estate, and show them the incredible opportunities in our world, then I’ve done my job. I know my passion is infectious, and I love seeing people discover that for themselves.” - @robinselden of @marciaseldencatering Read more from Robin via link in profile, by this link: https://bysarahbradshaw.substack.com/p/at-the-table-with-robin-selden by @robinselden
