A lot of you are new here - let me reintroduce myself.

I’m Gabriel Rocha, M.S., mental performance coach for elite athletes, performers & businesspeople by @rocha_sportpsych

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

Working with @alanixfit as she comes out of her competitive bikini season, one place shy of a pro card has been extremely rewarding and fulfilling. Whether we are developing mental performance systems to make her a better athlete, a better coach or a better businesswoman, the positive outcomes she’s seen on a day to day basis speak for themselves.

One thing we’ve really focused on is developing a routine that allows her to show up for her clients in the most effective ways possible by being structured, present and leaning into the joys of coaching. I’m really excited to see how she continues to make strides in all areas of her life as she continues into this offseason

If you want to make some strides in your mental game, shoot me a DM and let’s get to work 🎯 by @rocha_sportpsych

One-take quick-hitter on the mental game.
How you speak to & about yourself matters.
Think well, do well, be well 🎯 by @rocha_sportpsych

Focusing on the controllables is one of the most important mental skills in bodybuilding. Overthinking pulls you away from the main thing - learn to under-think, ignore the noise, and keep the main thing the main thing.

This week on Winning the Margins Podcast
Mental Performance x Bodybuilding

Just a few episodes that I dropped this week in case you missed them! When I started the podcast, my vision was to have the open, honest and vulnerable conversations that drive the mindsets and mental skills behind elite bodybuilding. I wanted to hear the good, the bad & the ugly.

I feel as though conversations around the mental game are largely overlooked in our space. Most people are talking about training, nutrition and PED’s. Those are all extremely important conversations to have by people far more qualified than me in those spaces. I just wanted to make sure that the mental game gets the light that it deserves and people walk away from listening to the podcast with a fresh perspective on how to sharpen their own mental game.

I'm only 30 episodes in & I've already had some of the most eye-opening and perspective shifting conversations of my life. I will continue to bring you guys conversations with the greatest minds in the sport.

Thank you for all your support, and most importantly, thank you to every single person who has willingly shared their time with me to have these conversations. These first 30 episodes have been an amazing experience so far - let’s keep building.

The bodybuilding landscape gets more and more competitive every year. Everyone is looking for the slightest edge that they can find - better recovery tools, cleaner food choices, optimized sleep hygiene, peptides & PEDs, etc.

You rarely hear about people training the mental game in our sport the same way that they trained their physiques in the gym. Don't let the competition beat you because you chose to ignore the mental game.

The ironic part is that it took me 6 tries to record this video - I was so focused on not making a mistake that I kept making mistakes. Before the sixth take I decided that I was gonna upload the next version no matter what. That decision made me stop overthinking. Play to the standard, not to the scoreboard. No more interference, flow state achieved. None of us are perfect anyways.

Creami thoughts - dropping some mental game nuggets for y’all. Be where your feet are. by @rocha_sportpsych

Success leaves clues. Once you see greatness in person, you realize it is possible. Surround yourself with those who set the standard.
