How bloody lucky am I to have these amazing chicas in my life 😍. One I’ve known since I was 5, once since I was 11 and the other two since I was 18. TGI Fridays brought us all together as a gang and I’m so pleased that despite busy and constantly changing lives we manage to still find a window for great laughter and brunch! Missed you Hannah ❤️

It’s the eve of Hell Week @elevateofficialuk and I’m wondering how it will compare to this week where on (adopt the voice of the hungry 🐛)…

Monday I did a hybrid class with @chris.j.turvey
On Tuesday I did Pilates strength with @aliinewithlainie
On Wednesday I did a perform class with @smac_fitt
On Thursday I did a strength (Hyrox) with @tomdonaldsonpt
On Friday I survived a Hyrox60 with @chris.j.turvey
On Saturday I did a 5k run with Mr Rocksmith
And on Sunday I chilled at a wonderful restorative yoga class with @che.sc.a.

Hell week will probably be much the same, but with a gazzilion burpees added. I don’t care though as I love @elevateofficialuk and @thestudiowinchester 🫶🏼.

They say never meet your heroes, but I did, because he was my dad! Twenty-four years ago today, we lost him 💔.

I hope he’s found his hero Jacques Tati. Here he is stood next to his statue at Saint-Marc-sur-Mer, the location of his classic film and Rock family favourite, Monsieur Hulot’s Holiday. I hope they are enjoying a plateau de fruits de mer and a bottle of Muscadet! 🦀

Lovely Lucy, you always won our Farnborough Airshow plane selfies, were always on hand when needed, rustling something up out of nowhere and you always found time to pull the best pranks. You were a delight.

Hearing so many other stories about you today, your kindness shone through in everyone. Your family, friends and the world has been robbed of a true gem.

Beautiful Bologna. What a treat it was to escape for three nights to this delicious city. My camera roll is packed with pics, so here’s your appetiser. Yes there will be more food pics to come 😋.

Even doing the big shop with you is the best 🛒.

Celebrating 23 years married by going wild in the aisles.

I loves you Mr Rocksmith ❤️.

It’s the end of August, and I just ran every day for a year. Why? Because running is my antidote to stress, and I knew this year would be spent in the trenches. I’m the solo carer for my mum with dementia and carrying all the sadness and frustration that comes with that. I’m also trying to get it right for my daughters as they navigate the path into adulthood, and I’m running a business in a year when clients need more for less.

I didn’t do this for the losses (although a few pounds and a few minutes off my pace have been a nice bonus). I did it to gain control, headspace and calm. It’s somewhere to think, to unravel, and sometimes to just have a damn good cry.

This year I’ve run in a zoo, along beaches, through woods, across fields, in cities, in Italy, in Greece, but mostly through the streets of Winchester. Through every weather imaginable. Some with ridiculously early starts to beat the heatwaves and before catching planes. Always at least one mile, often many more. Always in silence, listening to the world wake up.

The cap I’m wearing from @mindcharity says “Just doing my best” and that’s just it. And tomorrow, I go again.

Miserable middle class Minou is 9. Even wearing his hat a jaunty angel didn’t cheer up Mr Pusskins. 😾

When @louharris80 whispered to me during an @elevateofficialuk session before I went on holiday, “please do an update of the iconic swimsuit pic” I could hardly refuse, mainly because she used the word iconic! 😆

There’s not too much of a difference from last year, especially from the front. However the daily running has shrunk my ass, toned my shoulders, and reduced my boobs to week-old party balloons 🎈🎈

The scales say pretty much the same but the InBody scan shows a good reduction in body fat and increase in muscle mass - yay! 💪🏻

What has changed in the last year is my confidence and resilience and I think you can see this in my stance. I’m certainly giving less fucks these days, but mainly because I’ve realised I don’t have the time to be resentful about situations I cannot change.

Same time next year?

Same suit, same beach, same gal 2024, 2025, 2026.
