Down to earth, but still above you 💙 by @rokiadoumbia64

I vanished for a time, tending to battles beyond the court, but now I return to the game with a heart set on purpose. Forged in struggle, driven by a mission only the soul understands. From the silence of the shadows to the pride of wearing my nation’s colors again—each step a testament to the fight, every scar a symbol of what was endured. I rise, not as an athlete, but as a living echo of resilience. #afrobasketwomen @malibasketball by @rokiadoumbia64

🇲🇱 ROKIA DOUMBIA | TEAM MALI 🇲🇱

A floor general who knows how to control the game. 🎯

At the 2026 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers and FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, starting PG Rokia Doumbia showcased her ability to dictate tempo, create opportunities for her teammates, and make the right reads in transition.

Standing at 175cm (5’9”), Doumbia brings a high basketball IQ, excellent court vision, and the versatility to contribute both on and off the ball.

Her performance against powerhouse Spain in Mali’s historic upset at the World Cup was another example of her impact, finishing with 8 PTS | 9 AST | 4 REB.

📊 Across both tournaments:
7 PPG | 5 APG | 3 RPG | 25 MPG

A playmaker who sees the floor, makes her teammates better, and knows how to run an offense.

When you got sick and knew you weren’t going to make it out alive, you told me,
“Rokia, focus on your season and your competition. I am fine.”

Well, guess what?

I lost you 💔, but I did focus.

And once again, we are champions.
