☀️ We’re up EARLY, y’all — and for good reason! Roots of Purpose opened up the Community Center bright and early this morning so our neighbors have a place to come out and VOTE! 🗳️ 📍 Roots of Purpose Community Center 8701 Shepherdsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40219 ⏰ Polls are open TODAY until 6:00 PM — if you’re in line by 6pm, you WILL get to vote! 🚧 IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU COME: You may see ROAD CLOSED signs near us — please drive AROUND them! At least one side of the road is open and passable, and you CAN get to us. Please don’t turn around and leave — your polling place is open, we are here, and your vote matters too much to give up at a sign! Democracy doesn’t take a day off, and neither do we. Come see us, cast your ballot, and let’s make our voices heard, South End! 💙💚💛 #ElectionDay #Vote2026 #GOTV #VoteLouisville #RootsOfPurpose by @rootsofpurposelouisville
🌱 Help us plant the roots for lasting change. 🌱 Roots of Purpose is building something bigger than a building — we’re creating a community center that changes lives, and we’re asking YOU to become a Founding Sponsor. 💛💙💚 Your monthly sponsorship directly fuels: ✔️ Career & education resources ✔️ Community meals and mutual aid ✔️ Poverty and homelessness prevention ✔️ Long-term economic stability for our neighbors By becoming a Seed, Growth, Community Builder, or Legacy Sponsor, you’re not just donating — you’re laying the foundation for opportunity, dignity, and hope in the South End of Louisville. ✨ Founding Sponsors receive recognition, impact updates, and a lasting place in the roots of this work. 💚 Monthly giving = sustainable change. 🌍 The legacy we build together starts now. 👉 Become a Founding Sponsor today at the link our bio. Because when we invest in community, we all grow. 🌳 #RootsOfPurpose #FoundingSponsor #SustainableGiving #CommunityInvestment #NonprofitSupport by @rootsofpurposelouisville
A new chapter is beginning in Louisville’s South End 💛💚💙 Roots of Purpose is working to open a community center focused on reducing poverty and homelessness through career advising, direct action, and real community connection. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏾 As Messiah Trinity Church closes, their legacy of loving neighbors continues—through the donation of their property to Roots of Purpose. This space will become a place of hope, opportunity, and belonging for our neighbors. 🙌🏾 ✨ We cannot do this without YOU. ✨ If you have a special skill, a heart for service, or are interested in becoming a founding sponsor, we’d love to meet with you and share the vision. 👉 Send us a message or reach out today to schedule a conversation with our Executive Director. We love this community—deeply and genuinely—and we’re committed to making it better together. #RootsOfPurpose #SouthEndLouisville #NonprofitLife #DonateLouisville #MakeAnImpact by @rootsofpurposelouisville
🎃 IMPORTANT UPDATE — TRUNK OR TREAT CANCELED 🎃 Friends, we are so sad to share that we have to cancel our Trunk or Treat event that we planned for tomorrow. The ongoing construction in front of the Roots of Purpose Community Center has continued longer than expected and is now completely blocking the entrance, making it impossible for us to safely host the event. We were truly excited to celebrate with everyone, and we apologize to all the families and community members who were planning to come out. We appreciate your understanding. 🍂 But we still want to see you soon! Please join us for our Thanksgiving Community Celebration on Wednesday, November 25th. We’ll have a warm holiday meal, community connection, and plenty of love to go around. We can’t wait to gather with you then. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we navigate these challenges. Our community means everything to us. 💛🌱 by @rootsofpurposelouisville
📣 MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT 📣 It’s OFFICIAL! 🎉 Roots of Purpose has signed the paperwork to transfer the Messiah-Trinity Church property over to Roots of Purpose — and it will become the Roots of Purpose Community Center! 🏠💜 📍 8701 Shepherdsville Rd, Louisville, KY — right here in the Okolona! We’ve already been blessed to make an impact in our community — through food support, community events, harm reduction resources, and showing up for our neighbors — but now we can finally take it to the NEXT LEVEL. Bigger programs, more events, more resources, and a permanent home where our community can gather, grow, and thrive. 🌱 Thank you to Messiah-Trinity Lutheran Episcopal Church for entrusting us with this space and its legacy of service. Thank you to EVERYONE who has supported us, prayed for us, volunteered, donated, and believed in this vision from day one — and to everyone just finding out about us: welcome to the family. We hope to see you around! 💚💛💙 This is just the beginning. Stay tuned for what’s coming next at the Roots of Purpose Community Center! 👀✨ 👉 Like, share, and follow our page to help spread the word! #RootsOfPurpose #RootsOfPurpose #MajorAnnouncement #CommunityCenter #NewBeginnings by @rootsofpurposelouisville
