The smell is awful😬

I have a lovely Zipper Plant hanging in one of the windows in my studio and this week it’s blooming. ✨

I never gave any thought as to whether it would flower or not but now I know it does and it smells awful.

It’s pollinated by flies so the microscopic blossoms smell like something rotting 😬

I love my plants but there’s limits, I’m moving this one outside until the shows over. by @rosco_emmit

Making Bubble Bath Salts today 🫧 😀

Always satisfying to watch the mixer do its thing! by @rosco_emmit

Working in the studio with the windows open like it’s a warm summer day ✨😀 This incredible fall weather makes it hard to believe we’re ploughing through October 🎃 👻 by @rosco_emmit

Pouring in the overflow!

It’s perfect weather for pouring candles. I love to have the doors and windows open when I’m working in the studio but I know colder days are on the horizon.

In the meantime I’m pouring candles like crazy and filling all the countertops and even the shipping table with candles 😀 by @rosco_emmit

Potato peeler soap curls✨

It’s always satisfying to peel the rough edge off the soap slabs before I split them into logs for slicing😀

Walking through a field of Vanilla Leaf looking for Giants with our little buddy✨😀

Tree hunting is my favourite. There’s nothing better than exploring a pocket of old growth looking for ancient giants and twisted Yews.

Everything slows down and you leave feeling grateful and inspired to have seen something so rare and so special✨ by @rosco_emmit

What’s missing?😀

The music! There’s always music playing in the studio and I don’t really pay attention to these sounds but today I thought I’d have some fun and highlight the sounds of production 😁

My favourite sound is the crackle of the fresh soap being released from the paper! I think the slicer is the cringiest, reminds me of a horror movie! by @rosco_emmit

I was tired of the Dahlias.

All the digging up, storing and planting them out again.

I decided to leave them in the ground last yr to fend for themselves and they all died except one plant! So it was a huge fail but…this is the flower it produced and it’s as big as my head😀 and yes I’m going to leave it in the ground again this winter. by @rosco_emmit

Down in the ditch taking a little video of one of my favourite plants!🤓

First Ghost Pipe of the year and second in my lifetime!!

We were walking down an old logging road and I went right past it, it was on the way back I spotted these beauties in the ditch and I just had to take a few pics of course! by @rosco_emmit
