It’s official! The NHS has approved a groundbreaking new gene therapy for sickle cell patients, which “offers hope of a cure,” says NHS Chief Executive Amanda Pritchard. Those over the age of 12 with frequent sickle cell crises will be eligible for the therapy. The Reme Onolememen Sickle Cell Foundation (ROSCRF) was launched on March 1st 2024 with an intimate event, which included a memorial to celebrate Reme’s life a year after her passing. During the event, we heard from family members, close friends, and the foundation’s board of directors.⁣ ⁣ There’s much more to come, and all updates will be shared on this page.
