Be honest, would you befriend the crows?

My toxic trait is thinking I could move into an ancient Irish ruin, befriend the crows and live out the rest of my days as a local folklore mystery🐦‍⬛

DON’T make the same mistake I almost did...

I hate to confess this, but I almost skipped out on Blarney Castle during my trip to Ireland. The night before I was feeling really tired and the early wake up call was giving me the scaries.

Thankfully, a friend of mine back home convinced me.
“When will you have the chance again?”

So I got booked the ticket and I joined the castle crawl tour. Blarney Castle was the third and final stop.

It’s a bit of a wait to kiss the legendary Blarney Stone, which is said to bestow a person with ‘the gift of the gab!
You also need to bend pretty far back to do it (RIP to my back 😅)

So, did I feel it was worth it? Yes! A fun touristy thing to do, combined with two other castles that didn’t feel so touristy. A solid day trip from Dublin.

What about you? Is Blarney Castle on your list? ☘️🇮🇪🏰

You’ve probably seen these ‘Kaiser pancakes’ on your feed, but are they really worth the hype? 🤔

When we first arrived at Demel, the line stretched almost down the street 😳… so we decided to explore and come back the next morning.

Here’s the deal:

☕ Sit-down café – longer waits, no resos
🥡 Takeaway counter – shorter line, less options, card only

And now… the verdict: YES! 🙌

Kaiserschmarrn was everything I hoped for. Fluffy, gooey, decadent, yet light and airy. Paired with sweet, juicy plums, it might just be the best thing you’ll eat in Vienna ✨

💡 Tip: If you want photos without the crowds, come early when they open or later in the evening. Just don’t forget your card! 💳

So… Would you brave the crowds for these?

Perfume might be my favorite travel souvenir ✨

It’s something you can bring home that keeps unfolding long after the trip is over.

One spray and suddenly you’re back on that street, in that café, in that exact moment.

In Berlin, I visited Harry Lehmann, a quiet perfumery that’s been crafting fragrances since 1926.

Inside, shelves of simple glass bottles line the walls, each filled with formulas made here for generations. No elaborate packaging, no big branding, just scent and tradition.

The whole place feels wonderfully old-school. The air is soft with layers of fragrance - powdery florals, green notes, warm amber, citrus - drifting through the room. You take your time, smelling bottle after bottle until one feels like THIS trip.

Because the best souvenirs don’t just sit on a shelf… they bring you back.

I ended up taking home:

🪻Hyazinthe
🌼 Frangipani
🪵 Oud (my favourite!)

Do you ever bring home a scent when you travel? ✨

You don’t just visit Vienna… you adjust to it.

It asks you to slow down.
To sit at cafés without checking the time.
To admire the ceilings like art galleries.
To romanticize your own life a little.

Suddenly you’re dressing like you have opera tickets.
Ordering champagne at dinner, just because.
Walking slower. Talking softer. Dreaming bigger

You don’t just see Vienna. You change your rhythm for it 🤎

The big red bow in Vienna might be packed away until next year, but these memories? Forever 🎀✨

We started the morning chasing Vienna’s iconic Christmas bow and ended it across the street at Hotel Sacher with a slice of the world-famous Sachertorte 🍰☕️

We were lucky to snag a window table with a front-row view of the bow, where we could watch the crowds roll in right after we left. Pro tip: come early. Yes, cake for breakfast is always the answer.

As for the Sachertorte itself? Rich, chocolatey, not overly sweet, almost like a dense chocolate sponge. Definitely a “you love it or you don’t” kind of cake. I was a fan, my best friend… not so much 😅

Still pretty iconic considering it’s been made here since 1832!

Would you try it? Or are you team “croissant over cake” for breakfast? 👀👇

No matter where you are in the world, a mug of mulled wine asks the same thing of you:

To stop.
To pause.
To be here.

The warmth settles in first, slowly, from the inside out.

Then there’s the scent of spices, citrus, and winter gently pulling you back into the moment you’re in.

It’s not something to rush past or drink without noticing.
It’s something to hold, to breathe in, and to savour.

Busy streets, unfamiliar places, cold air outside the window; all of it softens for a moment.

Because this ritual stays the same, wherever you are.

This isn’t just a drink. It’s a moment of being present where everything tastes like warmth, joy, and possibility 🤍❄️

Steal one of my go-to winter travel outfits ✨

Summer outfits pack themselves… winter outfits need a strategy ❄️

This is the combo I wear on repeat

This is an outfit formula I reach for time and time again. Cozy and comfortable without sacrificing style.

The last rating might be a BIT controversial 😅

Is it really a Christmas market crawl if you don’t eat ALL the food? And I must say, the food in Austria did not disappoint…

Here are my top 3 (which was TOUGH)

1. Làngos: crispy, chewy doughy with a garlicky sour cream and fragrant cheese)
2. Späetzle: a potato noodle dish. This one had mushrooms and ham
3. Chocolate strawberry crepes: simple, fresh ingredients

Markets located in:
- Salzburg
- Linz
- Vienna

Please excuse the darker photos. It was too hard to balance holding the food and pulling out my actual camera so there are some nighttime shots on my phone!

Ok, so what are you eating first? by @roses_and_ribbons

How much glühwein is too much glühwein? Asking for a friend…. 😅

Picture this: we’re heading out to visit the Christmas markets in Munich! What are we doing first?! 👇

🥨 picking up a soft, buttery pretzel and wandering through the stalls

🫚 Selecting the perfect gingerbread cookie from an array of festive options

🪽 Picking out the perfect handmade ornament to bring home and hang on the tree

🌭 Trying delicious, flavourful currywurst

🍷 Grabbing a mug of steaming glühwien to keep our hands (and souls) warm as we wander

Tough choice right?!

Welcome to. The European Christmas Market Mug Olympics 🎄☕️

Let’s settle this. Swipe through & comment your your favourite! 👉☕️

And in case you’re wondering, yes, 9 mugs came home with me from the markets! 🙈 In case you’re not familiar, beverages are served in ceramic mugs at the markets, and you can either return them to get your deposit back or keep them and collect them. There are different designs for each market so it can quickly turn into a scavenger hunt! I love these cozy souvenirs.

I’m curious to see if we have the same top 3 👀
