It’s been two months since the graduation show and I’ve been taking some time to reflect:

I was and still am so moved by how many objects were added after the first day. By the end, more than fifty (first 2 slides) had found their way to the collective altar, all intertwined and connected with each other through grief. (Last slide = how it started!)

Even though loss can feel so isolating,
seeing these pieces gathered together
brought a deep sense of community, of not being alone in it. Each object carrying a story.

For me, the process of hand-tufting the carpet already felt like a ritual. The slow, repetitive movements gave me space to turn inward, to sit with my grief and reflect. In the same way, shaping clay gave visitors a moment of pause,

We just wrapped up three intense, beautiful days of the graduation show and I’m still letting it all sink in.

This work is so close to my heart. It was shaped by something deeply personal: somewhere along this study, I lost my dad. That loss turned my world upside down.

I took a gap year to catch my breath, to grieve
and to find a way back to making.

When I returned, I had to reshape my creative process completely. Grief kept returning as a subject, I couldn’t ignore it. And slowly, I stopped trying to work around it because it felt most natural to lean in.

I wanted to finish my studies with something I could truly be proud of. And I am.

This installation carries my love, my grief, my care.
I wish I could show it to my dad in real life. But in a way, he was the starting point of it all. He gave me the strength and inspiration to make this.

I know he’s proud, of how pain turned into something collective, how it brought together all these stories.

Join us for a unique painting experience in the fragrant and colorful environment of a Lush store. Here, you can express your grief on canvas alongside others who are going through the same, under the guidance of multidisciplinary artist @myth.thecreator (she/her).

What can you expect?
- No painting experience needed – paint from the heart, inspired by your grief
- Take your own painting home with you
- Receive a Lush bath bomb inspired by your artwork
- Connect with other young people who are also grieving in a queer-friendly environment
- Enjoy a vegan mocktail and snack during the workshop

Come and share your story through art. Paint your sadness, share your memories, and find comfort in creativity and the companionship of others who understand.

We have a solidarity donation plan for those who are not able to afford, making this workshop accessible to more people!

RouwHub010 is een nieuwe community voor jonge mensen in rouw! Een plek waar je elkaar kan vinden & ontmoeten. Want soms is het lastig om anderen te vinden, die begrijpen waar jij doorheen gaat.

Op 2 juli hebben we ons eerste evenement in @lushrotterdam ! We gaan een schilder workshop doen onder begeleiding van de oprichter van RouwHub010: @myth.thecreator . Hopelijk kan degenen die het nodig hebben elkaar daar vinden! taken in Rotterdam, Netherlands by @myth.thecreator

Ben jij tussen de 18-30 jaar en heb je te maken met rouw?

Sluit je aan voor een unieke schilderervaring in de geurige en kleurige omgeving van een Lush-winkel. Hier kun je jouw rouw op doek vastleggen samen met anderen die hetzelfde doormaken, onder begeleiding van multidisciplinair artiest @myth.thecreator (zij/haar).

Wat kun je verwachten?
- Geen schilderervaring nodig – schilder op gevoel, geinspireerd door jouw rouw
- Neem jouw eigen schilderij mee naar huis
- Ontvang een Lush bath bomb, geinspireerd op jouw kunstwerk
- Maak contact met andere jonge mensen die ook rouwen in een queer friendly omgeving
- Geniet van een vegan mocktail en snack tijdens de workshop

Kom en deel jouw verhaal door middel van kunst. Schilder je verdriet, deel je herinneringen en vindt troost in de creativiteit en het gezelschap van lotgenoten.

We hebben voor mensen die het niet zo breed hebben een solidair donatie plan, zodat deze workshop voor meer mensen toegangelijk is!
