Thank you to everyone who attended our kickoff event! We are grateful for the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while learning about native plants, animals, and indigenous culture, while visiting the many landmarks in Golden Gate Park. Thank you to Ruby for being our hiking guide. Looking forward to more fun outdoor recreation throughout the semester! #rpt #goldengatepark #hike #friendship by @rptclub_sfsu
WOW!!! RPT had such a blast truly mixing work and play this past weekend at ETC river camp. This beautiful organization has been around since 1972 offering adaptive white water rafting and sea kayaking trips to participants with different abilities and experiences. Our group was so lucky to be a part of getting river camp in tip top shape for opening weekend! Not only did RPT students help make ETC camp accessible we also planned, prepared, and devoured all the yummy food you see here. #rafting #sfsurpt #yourock #camping #fyp by @rptclub_sfsu
RPT attended the TOGETHER Bay Area conference as volunteers yesterday! This was an amazing opportunity for professional development, networking, and learning about organizations in our local community working towards sustainability and environmental conservation. Of course in true RPT fashion we had to make sure to be silly play around throughout the day, our “shhharks” were a highlight of the event!!! A big THANK YOU to everyone who put on this conference and to and to our students volunteers for donating their time and enthusiasm 🌎🌳🔭 #togetherbayarea #conservation #recreation #parks by @rptclub_sfsu
A huge shoutout to TOGETHER Bay Area for an incredible day at the 2026 TOGETHER Conference at Fort Mason. Our SFSU team helped welcome ~500 attendees, assisted sessions, networked with professionals, and learned about climate resilience, conservation, Tribal partnerships, biodiversity, land stewardship, equitable access to nature, and more. This year’s conference theme, “Pace, Scale, and Durability,” brought together practitioners, nonprofits, agencies, Tribal leaders, students, and environmental professionals from across the Bay Area to collaborate on healthier lands and communities. The conference also highlighted long-term regional goals connected to California’s 30x30 initiative and broader conservation efforts across the Bay Area. TOGETHER Bay Area Executive Director Annie Burke shared that SFSU students not only helped the event run smoothly, but also added value and energy to the conference. Their curiosity was boundless, like a sponge. Their professionalism was keenly sharpened. But their playfulness and welcoming spirit in bringing people together were truly priceless. Big thanks to Michaela Nee for making this partnership seamless, to RPT student lead Ella Walls for coordinating our team, and to TOGETHER Bay Area for investing in student learning, leadership, and future aspirations. #TogetherBayArea #SFSU #ClimateResilience #30x30 #EnvironmentalJustice by @rptclub_sfsu
