Are y’all ready to vote? Tomorrow is Election Day and polls are open from 6 AM to 9 PM.

I’m wholeheartedly supporting Letitia James’ reelection as Attorney General , the People’s Lawyer! She has stood up for New Yorkers at every turn, from challenging abuses of power by the Trump administration to fighting corporate greed, and protecting our civil liberties.

This year, I had the immense honor of working alongside her and her fabulous team to help advance @emeritatorresny’s legislation banning surveillance pricing in New York State. It was a privilege to work with a leader who understands that protecting consumers, protecting affordability, and standing up for everyday New Yorkers must always come first.

New York, let’s reelect the people’s lawyer @letitiajamesforny! Make a plan to vote tomorrow!

🏳️‍🌈 Happy National Coming Out Day! 🏳️‍⚧️

Every year, I “come out” for my students to remind them that our public schools can and must be safe, affirming spaces where every student feels seen, valued, and accepted for who they are.

Representation matters. Sometimes, simply knowing there is someone who understands you, supports you, and celebrates you can make all the difference. I want my students to know they never have to hide who they are to belong, and that they deserve to learn, grow, and thrive in an environment free from discrimination and fear.

We must also recognize that not everyone has the privilege or safety to come out and live freely as their authentic selves. Coming out is a deeply personal journey, and no one should ever feel pressured to share parts of themselves before they are ready.

Today and every day, let’s continue building schools and communities where LGBTQIA+ people feel safe, supported, accepted, and loved for exactly who they are. by @rsinghbx

📚 This week is Banned Books Week, a time to celebrate the freedom to read, learn, and explore ideas from every perspectives.

Reading banned books isn’t about breaking rules. It’s about protecting our right to think critically, ask questions, and discover stories that broaden our understanding of the world.Book bans can also silence stories and perspectives that reflect the experiences of queer, Latino, Hindu, Black, Jewish, Muslim, Asian, and other communities. When these stories disappear from our libraries and classrooms, so do opportunities for young people to see themselves represented and to learn about people whose experiences may differ from their own.

Here in New York, the Freedom to Read Act has passed both houses of the Legislature and is awaiting the Governor’s signature to become law. The legislation would help protect access to books and ensure students can continue to explore diverse ideas and perspectives. Learn more ways to advocate for the passage of this legislation @equalitynewyork.

And don’t let Banned Books Week end this week. Visit your local library, such as @kingsbridgelibrary, and read banned books all year long. 📚 by @rsinghbx
