Mark Vieira wanted to do an interview with us after the incident in today’s race with the Ferrari 296 challenge of @nacentracing

Upon my initial view of the crash it looked absolutely intentional to me. Especially given the driving style I had seen from Vieira throughout the weekend - unnecessarily close to cars - rubbing is racing sometimes yes but there is a point at which it becomes malicious and irresponsible.

Now during our convo I was willing to concede that the initial impact was an accident due to the Ferrari going off throttle at the yellow flag, which Mark claimed not to see. The moments after that however… seem absolutely unnecessary. Now Mark Vieira and some others may be unaware that we don’t just film cars, we drive them fast on track as well. I know that corner and I’ve passed people there as well. If I had crashed into someone coming onto the straight, I would back off, not push harder into a closing gap. It’s just common sense to give some space and avoid an incident like this. And in my mind the lack of responsibility being taken by Mark for the consequences of his driving style are very telling…. I did not want to do this interview because I knew it would either end up in an argument, or me just listening to damage control. So I will make my position very clear here. That is not the type of racing we want to see.

Go argue in the comments about it lol by @rsl_racing

Since YouTube deleted this and won't let us post for another 4 days, I'll post this here for now. We flew to Trinidad last weekend for the Tracfest events held on Saturday and Sunday. Larry Chen also attended the event as the guest of honor, after the Saturday event we were invited to an after-party small meet where Larry wanted to take some rolling shots of cars at night. We ended up having an impromptu drift show and getting a ride in a Mk4 Supra while Larry Chen was shooting that car… what an experience. Trinidad never fails to impress 🇹🇹 by @rsl_racing

🏝️CMRC was Caribbean circuit racing at its finest 🏁

Drivers from across the Caribbean -
Mark Vieira 🇬🇾, Doug Gore 🇯🇲, Mark Maloney 🇧🇧, Franklyn Boodram 🇹🇹 and more 🌎

Flame-spitting rotary engines 🔥Turbocharged monsters 💨 Hand-built cars going wheel-to-wheel with near works-level machines

Huge crowds 👥 Fans following the series island to island ✈️ Cars and drivers flying across the Caribbean just to line up and race 🏁

It felt like a Caribbean version of the Formula One lifestyle. Except a bit more raw, more real, more diverse. And honestly… arguably more interesting cars 🏎️🔥
