Everyone asks, “Was your elder one not jealous after the younger one arrived?” My answer? No. ❤️

And honestly, I don’t think it was just luck.
We tried to prepare him emotionally before bringing baby #2 home.

Here are the 7 things you can do for your firstborn before baby #2 arrives 👇🏻

1️⃣ Involve them during pregnancy 🤰
Take them along for scans when possible, let them see the baby on the screen, feel the kicks and movements, and talk to them about their little sibling.

2️⃣ Talk about the baby realistically
Tell them the baby will cry, need lots of attention and won’t be able to play with them immediately.

3️⃣ Don’t make them “the big kid” overnight
Let them still be your baby too. Don’t suddenly expect them to grow up or become extra independent.

4️⃣ Create special one-on-one time ❤️
Build little rituals with them that can continue even after the baby arrives.

5️⃣ Make them feel included, not responsible
Let them help with small things if they want to—but never make them feel responsible for the baby.

6️⃣ Avoid blaming the baby for everything
Instead of “I can’t because the baby needs me,” try “I’ll be with you as soon as I finish this.”

7️⃣ Keep reassuring them after baby arrives 🥹
Give them attention, affection and reassurance. Remind them that a new sibling has never changed their place in your heart.

A sibling should feel like an addition to their family, not a subtraction from their parents’ love. ❤️

Save this for baby #2 & share it with a parent expecting their second!

First baby vs second baby… the difference is REAL 😂❤️
With the first, you question everything.

With the second, you’ve learned to trust yourself a little more. 😅
Same 💕, Just a little less overthinking and a LOT more chaos! 😂

Fathers are not “helping” mothers.
They are parenting too. 🤍

Diapers, feeding, bedtime, school runs—these aren’t “helping mom.” They’re parenting responsibilities.
It’s not about keeping score.

It’s about raising children together. 🤍

These 5 things helped us a lot. So, I thought, I should share with you 🤍👇🏼

1️⃣ Your undivided attention
Even 10–15 minutes of “just us” time can make them feel seen. 🫶🏻

2️⃣ Reassurance that your love hasn’t changed
They need to hear it, not just assume it.

3️⃣ Their own special time with you
A bedtime story, a walk, cuddles or their favourite little ritual — keep something that belongs just to you two.

4️⃣ Permission to have big feelings
Jealousy, anger, sadness or even “I don’t like the baby” doesn’t make them a bad sibling. Let them express it without guilt.

5️⃣ To still feel like your child, not a “big kid”
Don’t expect them to suddenly become more mature just because a baby arrived. They still need cuddles, help and attention too. 🤍
