Sox is joining our family with love, not as a replacement, but as a new chapter 🐾🐱

We are absolutely devastated to say that poor wee ruby crossed to the rainbow bridge today we are absolutely devastated 😭😭😭

Ruby, my wild-hearted girl,
From the forests to the mountains, the sandy beaches to the lochs of Scotland, you were always at my side — ears perked, eyes bright, heart wide open to the adventure. You ran like the wind was yours to command, swam like the water was made just for you, and greeted the world with quiet confidence.

You loved your circle fiercely — your family, your people. You guarded us, comforted us, made us laugh. You were aloof to strangers, but you saved your love for those you chose. And I was so lucky to be chosen by you.

You never said no to a piece of black pudding, to a walk no matter how far, to a new trail that smelled of mystery. You taught me that home isn’t a place — it’s the one running beside you, tail wagging, eyes saying “let’s go.”

Today, we will set you free from the pain your brave heart has been carrying. But I need you to know — every step you take beyond here, you take with a piece of my heart. And when I walk in the forest, or feel the sand between my toes, I will feel you there with me, running ahead and then turning back to make sure I’m coming.

You have been my protector, my companion, my family, my Ruby.
And I will love you for the rest of my life.

Run free, my girl. I’ll meet you at the water’s edge someday ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Some people will never understand the battles you fight in silence, the pain you hide behind your smile, or the love you still carry for the things you've lost.
We all have a story that changed us, scars that shaped us, and moments that nobody else will ever truly understand. Some of us are healing from things we've never even had the words to explain.
But please, don't let this world harden your heart. Don't let the people who hurt you turn you into someone you're not. You can have a soft heart and strong boundaries. You can be healing and still have bad days. You can miss what you've lost and still be grateful for what remains.
There's something beautiful about a person who has every reason to become bitter, but still chooses to be kind♥️
