This year marks the 5th annual event hosted by @greeningaustralia with a total of 15,000 new plants and shrubs in the ground at Corio over that period.

The site is placed in the Bellarine Peninsula Ramsar wetlands. These new plants will help filter runoff, reduce sediment and stabilise the banks against storm surges in the coastal salt-marsh
These plants also provide vital habitat for local and migratory birds.

Recently I had the opportunity to cover the annual @greeningaustralia tree planting day in Corio.
Seeing 2,600 new plants going into the ground was a phenomenal effort, and such a pleasure to capture.
Projects like these sit close to my heart, and being able to showcase what they do is such a privilege. by @ruigrok.media
