POSTS STORIES REELS

The end of December, the period of time when you can neatly compartmentalise one of Earth’s orbits around the Sun from your own perspective. They say the Devil makes work for idle hands and that there is no rest for the wicked, which is probably why I dedicated so much of my time to crafting these pieces. I learnt so much in terms of construction, idea development and design as I really tried to go a level beyond the previous year. That however doesn’t stop me from having a feeling inside that I didn’t quite do enough. I could have done more. I am proud though. The places I’ve been, the stages I’ve been invited to, the people I’ve met. The response I’ve received for my work has been the driving force behind these abominations. There has always been a devil inside of me, not one of blood drenched, jump scare, horror, but more like a demon that lives in the shadows of humanity. I’m glad I got to share it with you and even happier that you received it so well. So… 2024. The devil’s in the details.

Hello you sinners and abominations, I have big news.

It’s time for me to pack my bags and stretch my wings and that can only mean one thing… In April I will be leaving Vienna, for good to move overseas where the Moon hangs upside down in the sky.

I started doing Drag here, back in the fall of 2021, with my first ever performance at Celeste for DragLab. Just a little clown trying to do something different. I started with nothing to work with but even from those first performances you all ignited a fire in me to keep creating. It’s been an incredible journey, and I always tried to put together something unusual that you might not have seen before, something dark or weird that you could still connect with in some way, but here is where that journey reaches its final chapter.

So to say goodbye I will be putting on a finale solo show, one delving into the depths of existence and the black heart of 13.

So if you’ve enjoyed my performances this is the last chance to see me perform in Vienna, maybe even ever? Who knows? All I do know is, all things must come to an end.

And thanks to @frl.jamie for helping out with this photoshoot 🖤

Alien Superstar

Drag is about transformation, realisation, personification. We create these personas that have a life of their own, dragged up from some inner part of ourselves. We present femininity, masculinity and the creatures and clowns that exist beyond who we are behind the costume. Queer existence in itself is an act of metamorphosis.

Always a haunting pleasure to perform Doomsday Blue by @bambiethug

I really got to give this new costume life sharing this stage with all these lovely performers. And thanks to @adrianrieck for capturing the moment so well! by @run.its13

No rest for the wicked

Thought I'd show my face on the scene and @heapsgay at @cityrecitalhall was the perfect party for it. Amazing acts, performances, acrobatics, djs and special mention for the decor and visuals 🖤

Sourced myself a sewing machine and customised this jacket and trousers with sequins and spikes and made a fresh headpiece for this club kid themed night.

AFTERLIFE the video

For part of the show I wanted to present a music video. So with no time, no budget but an idea and a dead bird I'd been keeping in the freezer we created this.

*The full video is available on VIMEO link in my bio*

In Ancient Egypt in front of the God Anubis, the Goddess Maat would weigh a persons heart against a feather as a form of judgment. The heart was thought to contain all the good and bad deeds of a persons life. AFTERLIFE was a retrospective of my time doing Drag in Vienna, a time in which 13 lead me on a journey of self exploration. An entity that existed in many forms and ideas that had a plan for us. After all is said and done, it was time to look back and judge.

A huge thank you to @frl.jamie @adam.czskpalacsinta and @nani.mag.viech for their help filming this when I came at them out of the blue with an extremely tight deadline and some hope. And especially for their attention to painting my ass crack. by @run.its13

AFTERLIFE part 3

When you close a book, it exists in its entirety. That’s what I was thinking when I came up with this ending. I wanted to reflect on the entire journey. Performing to Creep the headpiece was an evolution of the first horns I wore for a performance, a pair I’d been carrying around with me for years even before Austria. Then as the show came to an end I wanted to take it right back to the beginning, to my first performance in Vienna. I stripped off and put on the original clown suit. For me that first performance was the synopsis of my entire time in Vienna. Then just like old times I stripped back down to my pink latex jockstrap (A phrase that will haunt everyone on stage that night forever).

This was the culmination of my journey in Vienna expressed through drag. I wanted to do a show that was a love letter to everyone that’s seen me perform and I’m happy with the outcome. I thank you for your validation. And again, thank you to everyone for their hard work in helping with this show.

I'll never forget it.

And of course @illpines for these wonderful photos by @run.its13

AFTERLIFE part 3

The second half was a trip into rebirth. I have two crow tattoos on my neck and they come from alchemical principles of knowledge. I loved the idea of emerging from this imposing presence of a two headed crow (not unlike the austrian emblem). We spent a long time working on these wings, getting them to be large enough, light enough, fluffy enough.
And here I also have to thank @metamorkid for letting me borrow some of their drag.
‘This is how Villains are made’ seemed a fitting choice for this concept of creation. 13, embodied.

After that came ‘What else is there’. Since I started doing my performances I wanted to or tried to perform songs from artists that have been impactful to me in my life, but some of them I found hard to translate into performance. Such artists as Fever Ray and IamamIwhoamI. The lead vocalist of Fever ray features in this track and I wanted to combine it with a ventilator performance. Something dark, atmospheric yet exposing and intrusive. I tried to achieve this with dark fabric, a sheer bodysuit and torches being the main light source.

Thanks to my performers

AFTERLIFE Part 2

Following the story of the worm 13 makes their promise to live. Despite struggle ‘I will survive’ delivers the prospect of moving forward. I wanted this performance to reflect this internal battle, leading to its eventual defeat. A story of growth in one of my most recent costumes.

Special thanks to @eimer_kantwurst for their hard work in putting the choreography together and @frl.jamie @nani.mag.viech & @bloodsugarxo for their amazing effort as these shadowy performers.
