I have always loved coaching running just as much as racing. Now I will bring my physical therapy background into the coaching world to keep the running community injury free! by @run_dr.c

1. If I bounce higher and increase my stride I'll go faster right?
- no actually you want to bounce less and focus on going forward. Decrease the stomping noise and you know that you are being nicer to your joints and going faster.

2. I should go more than 3 miles today and try to go faster than my PR right?
-no actually you're already finding it hard to talk on your first run back, so we need to keep it easy as you build your miles first. Get a base, then add the speed.

3. Can I run 8miles?
-no you don't even have fully developed growth plates yet so we're going to wait a little longer.

4. Why do your legs jiggle every step?
🙄 -because I have more energy stored in my legs and I can go farther than you. by @run_dr.c

These are THE MOST COMMON complaints runners had after their fall races this season. I don't know about you, but I always wish after a race that I worked my arms more. by @run_dr.c

I found this quote from a writer named John Bingham. I sometimes am that person on the couch thinking that my moment is gone for me with running. Life will always give us doubt. It's up to us to keep heading out that door.

Half of the family squad was out last night trying to fit in a workout. In the physical therapy clinic this exercise is always a good challenge for the runners that I treat.

@vinny.mauri and @_clayton_young_ here I come... I had a blast spectating the Chicago marathon yesterday and I snuck in some running while cheering on some runners that I coach!

Starting out a 5k season training block with this workout 😆
