We're collecting winter clothes for clients working to rebuild after recent incarceration! Many who have been incarcerated have their housing stability impacted which can be especially harmful in freezing weather months. We work to provide warm clothes to those that we can after posting bond. We're working in collaboration with @oarrva to collect warm clothing to ensure none of our clients go cold. Drop any gently used clothes at the OAR office 809 w broad St Monday-Tuesday between 8:30am to 12pm or 1-3pm. by @rvabailfund

Join us at @inthrivefilmfestival next month where we will be tabling and raising money to help get folks free From October 1–4 of this year, Inthrive Film Festival will celebrate its fourth year screening films, hosting key speakers, and gathering Richmond community members to celebrate the stories, talents, and human dignity of incarceration survivors. From screening films about incarceration journeys to serving food by caterers who have experienced incarceration, the festival has become a place that shows the breadth and depth of this community. Join us in hearing from and supporting voices impacted by incarceration and supporting ongoing abolitionist work to help get people free. Pssst. It’s today. This one ya’ll…😮‍💨 It’s been a lot. A lot, a lot. We just deeply hope you join us today, that the weather cooperates, that you see how much worth and stunning beauty our community possesses, and that you enjoy all the little and not-so-little things throughout Rad Pride. We’re still a small org with a small team, but we work very very hard. And today—a lot of people have come together to simply show up for many of the things that make us radical; from queer art and mutual aid to silliness, whimsy, and a shared passion for building the future we deserve. Keep Richmond radical 💗 by @rvabailfund
It's time for another profit-share! In September we'll be donating 5% of our total profits to @rvabailfund to help them get people out of jail and give them some support to get back on their feet. Fun fact: we actually keep our weed eater batteries in a Bail Fund tote bag that we got at last year's zine fest! We encourage you to learn more about bail fund's work and to support them however you can! by @rvabailfund
Hear some of the words of those who have received bond and post incarceration support from the Richmond Community Bail Fund. This year bonds have become slower to revolve and court cases continue to be drawn out longer than in past years. This has at times reduced the size of bonds we can post for reducing. Ongoing donations from the community helps offset this impact and will allow us to continue our ongoing work as we continue in our mission to get people free. by @rvabailfund

Funds given by Richmond Community Bail Fund are an extension of connection and relationship built through peer support and presence. Part of abolitionist work is building networks of care based on harm reduction, autonomy, dignity and affirmation of one's humanity especially when, navigating disempowering punitive systems that seek to reduce a person to a label like "criminal" or "addict." Our client support work involves more expenses that, unlike bonds, don't come back to us. We continue to provide things like phones, direct financial assistance for food or short term housing, rides/transportation, support reconnecting with benefits or getting into recovery programs and peer support - and this work is maintained by ongoing donations. You can donate through the link in our bio, or if you'd like to help with fundraising events - send us a message. ✨ by @rvabailfund
