Pushed the champions to the wire. 😤⚽️ Battered by injuries and missing key personnel, the boys gave everything against the reigning champions Excel CIS. After falling behind early, Clarendon shifted gears and took the game straight to them. A first-half masterclass from Man of the Match Havin James saw him net twice—set up by Carenton Turner and Kemar Marsh —leaving Excel stunned at 2–1! A late lapse before the break and an injury to centre-back Roger Moore handed them a lifeline before half-time. Despite Excel pressing hard in the second 45, our backline held firm until another narrow slip let them in for the winner. The final minutes were pure grassroots chaos, ending with an Excel red card for pulling the skipper's hair! Huge credit to calebgriffiths with an immense performance in the middle of the park, proving that this squad's rebuild and progress over the summer is moving in the right direction. Heads held high—we get our injured lads back and we go again. 💛💚 Full Time: Clarendon FC 2 – 3 Excel CIS ⚽ Havin James (x2) 🅰️ Carenton Turner, Kemar Marsh 🌟 MOTM: Havin James #ClarendonFC #GrassrootsFootball #SundayLeague #VeoFootball #NonLeague #MatchDay #FootballCommunity #BirminghamFootball #Brotherhood #WestMidlandsFootball https://youtu.be/i4ZsV6KWWrE by @rvmclarendonfc
3-0 DOWN & 10 MEN?! THE IMPOSSIBLE COMEBACK! 🤯🔥 | Clarendon FC 4–3 Brierley Hill AOG What a game at home for Clarendon FC! Playing our second home fixture with the newly assembled squad, questions were asked whether our big result against Dudley Lions was a fluke or something real to build on. After a slow start, disaster struck—we found ourselves 3–0 down and reduced to 10 men before the break. But the composure shown by this group is something Clarendon hasn't seen in a very long time. The message from the gaffer at half-time was simple: stay composed, trust the process, and don't let the first 45 get into our heads. What followed in the second half was pure heart, desire, and brotherhood. Down a man, every single player stepped up to pull off the unthinkable: * Remmel Johnson ignited the spark with a clinical finish set up by Pheon Jolly. * Pheon Jolly held his nerve from the penalty spot to make it 3–2. * Kemar Marsh marked his second debut in unforgettable fashion, unleashing an absolute rocket from 25 yards out to level the match! * Captain Khyrell Campbell-Gordon completed the fairytale turnaround, grabbing the winning goal to seal a breathtaking 4–3 victory! A massive shoutout to Man of the Match Carenton Turner, who was the absolute glue in midfield—running relentlessly, keeping his head, and doing the dirty work from minute 1 to the final whistle. Traveling away to Dudley Lions is always one of the toughest tests on the calendar—a long trek and a physical battle where no prisoners are taken. Arriving with a light squad and handing league debuts to two fresh faces, Clarendon FC showed true grit to claim a deserved first win of the campaign. Clarendon hit the ground running in the first 45 minutes, with our central midfield partnership dominating play from the outset. Despite Brandon Robinson somehow being denied what looked like a certain goal, captain Khyrell Campbell-Gordon stepped up with a clinical brace to put us firmly in control. The only blip was a momentary miscommunication leading to an own goal, but Khyrell restored our lead right before the break. Ten minutes into the second half, Dudley Lions began utilizing their full bench, rotating heavily to keep fresh legs on the pitch and throwing everything at our backline. Despite mounting fatigue, Clarendon's core stood physically resolute, absorbing the pressure and shutting down every advance to see out a well-earned 2–1 victory! #ClarendonFC #GrassrootsFootball #SundayLeague #MatchHighlights #VeoFootball #FootballStats #AwayDayWin #NonLeagueFootball Youtube: @clarendonfc | Insta: @rvmclarendonfc | photo by Trevor Briscoe | #GL360Productions by @rvmclarendonfc
Pitchside watching the lads battle weekend —and as much as I hate missing out, playing the long game in your 50s means managing injuries differently! ⚽️🥶🧠 When you’re competing against youngsters week in, week out, you can’t just run through every single knock. It’s all about longevity so I can anchor Clarendon FC for the entire season, not just burn out by December! This is only my 2nd game sat out across 10 fixtures—not bad at all for an “old man” putting shifts in at centre-back! 😤🧱 With the UK weather turning freezing cold, the joints and muscles immediately ask: “What are you doing to me?!” 😂 But instead of giving in to the aches, I’m fighting it head-on. Time to completely dial in my warm-ups, extend my pre-match prep, and protect the engine so I’m 100% available for the next war on the grass! Ice, heat, mobility, and recovery mode activated. Big shift from the squad today! 🔋⚡️ Who else has to overhaul their warm-up routine the second the cold weather hits? Day 31 of the @bodysharpmikey press-up challenge: BONUS ROUND & A BRAND-NEW PB OF 65 REPS! 💥📈🔥 Just when you thought the 30-day challenge was over, we pushed it one day further. Yesterday we touched 60, but today something clicked—locked in, found an extra gear, and smashed clean through to 65 strict reps! 😤🧱 Looking at the numbers across October: * Day 1: 25 reps * Day 14: 50 reps * Day 30: 60 reps * Day 31: 65 reps (New Personal Best!) That is 40 extra reps added to the tank in just 31 days. At 50 years old, this challenge proved that age is no barrier when daily consistency and mental toughness lead the way. The formal challenge might be in the books, but this isn’t the finish line—it’s the standard now. I definitely need to keep this daily discipline going forward. Longevity on the pitch, stamina in the studio, and staying strong for life! Massive thank you to @bodysharpmikey and the entire @bodysharp community for the push this month. ⚡️ #Bodysharp #PressUpChallenge #Day31 #65Reps #NewPB PersonalRecord BodysharpMikey FitInMy50s Over50Fitness DailyDiscipline ConsistencyWins LifestyleNotAChallenge NeverStopMoving by @rvmclarendonfc

Day 30 of the @bodysharpmikey press-up challenge: THE GRAND FINALE — WE TOUCHED 60 REPS! 🏆💥📈🔥 30 consecutive days. Zero days off. We made it to the finish line! Yesterday I asked if 60 was possible, and today I wasn’t leaving the floor until the counter hit the big six-zero. I’ll keep it 100% real with you: they were small, gritty, squeeze-them-out reps by the end because the chest, shoulders, and triceps had absolutely nothing left to give! But the discipline didn’t waver—60 reps locked in! 😤🧱 Looking back at this journey: * Started on Day 1 at 25 reps * Battled through full 90-minute football matches and match injuries * Pushed out reps live on #TheLiftShow on @Affinityxtra * Survived brutal 1-hour sessions with Mikey and @sabreenaray71 * Tested failure at Clarendon FC training and switched up with sea lion variations * Day 30: 60 reps to complete the challenge! At 50 years old, this wasn’t just about building upper body strength—it was about daily mental resilience, showing up when tired, and refusing to negotiate with excuses. Massive respect and salute to @bodysharpmikey for setting the bar high, and big up everyone across the Bodysharp community who stayed on track this month! ⚡️ What daily habit or challenge are you taking on next?
