POSTS STORIES REELS

Hello, I’m Autumn and I read sometimes. I made this account for fun and for a way to creatively document my reading journey! My thoughts may not be groundbreaking but follow along if you’d like ⭐️ by @rylieslibrary

I’ve already been on Bookstagram for a little while now but never did an official “about me” post! I had lots of fun making this and am excited to make even more bookish content! Bye for now :) by @rylieslibrary

It’s my birthday today….and I spent it at the bookstore!! Here are the newest additions to my shelves. So happy I got to spend the day doing what I love. Here’s to chapter 26 :)

I’ve been super busy this fall and have been slacking on my fall reads so this is my silly take on a spooky post! These are just some tropes that just aren’t my cup of tea. What are some tropes that you don’t like?

Hi everybody!! I’m back in full swing with my fall semester/working full-time so I don’t have as much time to read anymore. For times like these short reads are a life saver so I thought I’d share for all the other busy bodies out there! Happy reading my friends :))

Some of the books I’ve read over the past few months! I’ve been on a bit of a romance kick lately and have found that I’m really enjoying Hannah Bonam-Young. I’m slowly working on tackling my physical tbr so wish me luck! Until next time fellow book worms 💛

Hi, it’s been a while!

I started this account shortly before I started school back up again so I’ve been neglecting it lately. I am currently in school working towards a Bachelor’s in English Literature so I’ve been doing a lot of reading for school. Here are just some of the books I’ve read over the last two semesters! I’ve been trying to take up reading more and hopefully that means posting here a little more frequently! Have a great rest of your day fellow book nerds <3 by @rylieslibrary

Two Can Play Book Review!

Or more so an audiobook review. I listened to this on drive for a trip and I think it was the best way to consume it. This was one of the first contemporary romances I didn’t absolutely despise. The story was really cute. I usually hate miscommunication in books but this story didn’t draw it out in an annoying way. I absolutely loved Jessie, we stan a man with a healthy obsession. My only complaints about this was that the ending was really unsatisfactory. Once they are together and all the mutual pining is pretty much over with it gets so boring. That’s pretty much the last half of the book. There were also so many interesting side characters that I wish she would have explored a bit more. I understand, I do now at least, that this was a novella but I just wanted more of it. I don’t know if it was the delusion of a four hour drive or not but I had fun with this one. Rated a 3.75-4 stars. by @rylieslibrary

Powerless Book Review!

I automatically go into contemporary romance hating it and this was no different. Half the book is just the two character whining about their “hidden” feelings for one another. The other half is just mind numbingly cringey smut. That last half of the book just felt like rushed filler to get to the conclusion. The only redeeming chapter of the book that I actually enjoyed was the literal last chapter. The writing was on par with what I like in romance books. Then the epilogue came in and made it miserable again. Anyways not for me but I judge contemporary romance harshly and have an unfair bias lol. by @rylieslibrary

Onyx Storm Book Review!

This was unfortunately my least favorite of the series so far. Sticking true to the third book curse, this was such a plot heavy book. It was executed in a way that was droning on, making it incredibly boring for about 75% of it. There were a few redeeming qualities that reminded me why I liked the first two which is why I gave it a 4.25 on my judging scale. It’s not inherently bad. I do wish certain reveals weren’t so underwhelming or quickly brushed under the rug like they were. The most infuriating thing was the total of three cliffhangers at the very end…..with two years until the next release. Anyways overall wasn’t too bad just boring. by @rylieslibrary
