I’m still in awe at the turnout for this amazing fashion show. 💫 The team and I put our heart and soul into this — handcrafting every single fit with love, patience, and pure passion. 🧵💛

Never in a million years did I think I’d be crocheting, let alone bold enough to create and showcase an entire line. But when I tell you… TENACITY carried this dream to life!

Thank you all so much for the birthday love, messages, calls, posts, and prayers. I truly appreciate every single one of you who took a moment to celebrate me & remind me that I am loved.

Most importantly, I thank God for blessing me with another year of life and another opportunity to walk in purpose and be a blessing on this earth. This next chapter is about stretching myself beyond my comfort zone, embracing growth, and building a healthier, better lifestyle in every area of my life.

This year, I speak life into everything I touch and every person I come in contact with. May my presence leave people better than I found them. I declare favor over this new season because I am highly favored to be highly favored. Here’s to another year of purpose, growth, and God’s grace. 🤎✨

Last night was one of those moments I’ll probably carry with me forever.

When I first started creating the vision for Chocolate Palette, I knew I wanted it to be more than a fashion show. I wanted it to be a celebration. A love letter to our culture. A reflection of our history, our resilience, our beauty, and the many shades that make us who we are.

But if I’m being completely honest, I had no idea how much this experience would impact me personally.

To stand in a room and watch an idea that once only existed in my head come to life through crochet, movement, storytelling, and community was something I can’t even fully put into words. Every stitch, every model, every detail, every late night, every moment of self-doubt was worth it.

Last night reminded me that art has the power to connect people. It reminded me why I create.

To my models: thank you for trusting my vision and bringing these pieces to life with such grace and power.

A special thank you to Sonya McCarter for believing in my artistry and inviting me to be a part of this experience. What you’ve created is more than an exhibition… it’s a space where artists can be vulnerable, explore beyond their usual mediums, and share their stories freely with the community. Thank you for opening the door for creativity, connection, and growth. I’m truly grateful to have been included. 😌

To everyone who attended, supported, encouraged, shared, purchased, or simply believed in me, thank you. Your support means more than you know.

As a Black artist, designer, educator, and creative, being able to honor Juneteenth through my work was incredibly special. Seeing our stories, our strength, and our beauty represented through handcrafted pieces filled me with so much pride.

Most importantly, last night reminded me to be proud of myself.

Not for being perfect.
Not because everything went exactly as planned.
But because I had the courage to create something meaningful and see it through.

Thank you all for being part of this journey. 🤎✨

The hardest thing I had to overcome wasn’t looking “ugly,” it was the anxiety, the overthinking, the fear, the inner chaos nobody could physically see. Anxiety shows up different every time, but so do I.

And no matter what version of me walks in the room, I’m showing up as ME every single time. Unfiltered. Unwatered down. Honest.
