PROJECT PEA LAUNCH DAY!!

300 grow-your-own kits given to residents to grow their very own pea shoots at home. Everything in the kits was 100% recycled, re-purposed, and donated.

Too many people to thank- I’ll just start with Tess from @foodplymouth , Rachel from Plymouth City Council Food waste team, @poolefarmplymouth and @plymouthscrapstore for joining me at the launch day. Storm Austen didn’t stop us doing an incredible job.

Every singke kit is 100% re-used, re-purposed. Thank you to everyone who donated and contributed to the kits. Also to Greenbank community centre for hosting us!

Massive shoutout to all the amazing volunteers who came to help put together the kits, and everyone that joined the working group for the project. Also my friends for coming down from London and being roped inti helping. We couldn’t have done this without you 💚💚💚💚.

We were also able to give lots of kits to Mount Street Primary School, Poole Farm, and a few community groups.

If you got a kit- please send me pictures of your pea shoots and post about it!

LOVE YA’LL 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

Global Majority Young Greens hosted the most wonderful community event to mark Black History Month.

We were joined by global majority city councillors from Bristol and beyond for a candid conversation about local politics and activism.

Our guest speaker, Dr Sam Okyere, shed light on the legacy of slavery and colonisation.

And last but not least, SUTR Bristol was present and handed out some great literature on migration, black history, and local organising.

Thank you to all who attended! by @saahi.green

MY NEXT DROP-IN IS SATURDAY 14th NOVEMBER!

If you have a local issue, idea, query or concern, this is the space to pop in and let me know! This can be anything from fly-tipping, to more complex issues such as housing and education. I’ll try my very best to help fix anything I can.

My surgeries will happen EVERY SINGLE MONTH- please utilise them and come and see me 💚💚💚

Drop-in to Mrs Browns and you’ll be able to try some of their unreal baked goods and coffee too!

@greenparty.jess and @saahi.green lay down why Jackdaw isn’t a win for any of us, and why Green Party focus on renewable energy is the way forward for energy security and lower bills. by @saahi.green

This is what happens when billionaires fund your party- millions (allegedly) spent on paying royal mail to send newsletters with no reference to local politics at ALL. I wonder how much of that money could have been spent doing positive things for people.

In August, I was invited to the Plymouth Malayalee @pmcc_uk Onam celebration, to mark the Malayali new year.

It was not only an honour, but also a huge privilege to be invited, and it reminded me why I do this in the first place. I grew up in Plymouth, and the community around me was my family. My parents came to this country to work in healthcare/ NHS, and to serve others- as many many of our wonderful malayali community do, and in times where racism and anti-immigrant sentiment is rife, it’s so important that we remember that love and unity will always be stronger than hate. We all just want to see the world a better place, and all of us make this city what it is- a beautiful amazing place full of beautiful, amazing people💚💚💚💚.

Anyway here’s a few pictures by the incredible @elegant.frames_photography. And the food was SO YUM!!!!!! Thank you once again for having me!!
