your lie in september? by @saaronshyronic

@morakobi makes a cameo to spend some emo time

I grew up

I grew up
When I found out that everyone is depressed
Clinically, unclinically, severely distressed
I grew up
When I found out fathers cry, too
And mothers are lied to
I grew up
When I found out the city doesn't sleep
And every car tells a story so deep
I grew up
When I found out time actually doesn't exist
When black holes suck you in, you can't even resist
I grew up
When I found out love can fix all
That houses so big may have hearts as small
I grew up
When I found out Covid wasn't the only time people wore masks
You see, Bengalis have two names and the one they answer to depends on who asked
I grew up
When I found out the World War never ended
Each country's an Island, alone and friendless
I grew up
When I found out humans don't live forever
And still they do not act like that, which I don't think is very clever
I grew up
When I found out no one is thinking about me and my blunders
It doesn't matter if you know the meaning of the word sonder
I grew up
When I found out I'm a perverted, ungrateful, self-obsessed, good for nothing, asshole
But at least,
I managed to keep alive to say that
I grew up
