“Just be yourself, there is no one better.” - Taylor Swift

POSTS STORIES REELS

In this new year of my life, I will keep choosing myself, over and over again. I will keep learning to put myself first, not out of selfishness, but out of love for the person I am becoming.

For so many years, I spent my life trying to please others, to save them, and to be there for everyone, even when I was slowly losing myself in the process. Until one day, I simply had nothing left to give. And perhaps the saddest part of it all was realizing that somewhere along the way, I had lost my sense of self, my joy, and the spark that once made me who I was.

Finding my way back to myself has been a long and difficult journey. Learning to make peace with who I am, with the choices I’ve made, and with the parts of me that I once struggled to accept. Because somehow, forgiving the people who hurt me has always felt easier than forgiving myself.

But through it all, I am learning to surrender my life to the One who has always held me, even in the moments when I could barely hold myself together. My life belongs to God, my Shepherd, my Father, the One who knows me, loves me, and continues to guide me home. I am His child, and in Him, I find my peace.

As Psalm 23:1 reminds me, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

And as I step into this new chapter, my prayer is that God will continue to heal my heart, restore the parts of me I thought I had lost, and use my life to be a blessing to others—not for my own glory, but for the glory of His name.

May I never lose myself in trying to save everyone else again. May I learn to love myself with the same grace I have so freely given to others. And may I always remember that even when I feel lost, I am never beyond the reach of my Shepherd. Amen.

One of the things I’ve always loved most about myself is my hair. I’ve always felt a little more beautiful with long hair.

But as I grow older, I’m learning that everything I have is a gift from God. Perhaps these blessings aren’t meant for us alone, but are also meant to be shared with others.

In April 2026, I finally did something I had dreamed of doing since I was a little girl. For the first time in my life, I cut my hair and donated it to help cancer survivors.

This experience reminded me that sometimes, giving means letting go of something we love. And perhaps that is what makes it so meaningful. It’s not that the things we give no longer matter to us, but that we choose to let them mean something to someone else, too.

My hair has always been one of the things that made me feel beautiful. This time, though, I discovered a different kind of beauty in knowing that something I cherished could become a gift for someone else.

As I continue to grow, I pray that I’ll always remember that everything God entrusts to me is an opportunity to love, to give, and to be a blessing to others.

May this be just the beginning of a life lived with a grateful heart and open hands.

My second BICF as a Liaison Officer for the VVIP judges.

BICF has held a special place in my heart since my senior high school days. Coming back and being entrusted with such an important responsibility means more to me than words can express. I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity to learn, grow, and be part of something that has been close to my heart for so long.

A heartfelt thank you to Pak Tommy, Kak Indra, Kak Lila, Kak Novry, and the entire BCS team for your trust and support. I’ll keep learning, growing, and giving the very best I can.

Some places become more than memories; they become a part of who we are. BICF will always be one of them.

See you at BICF 2027!

Ogoh-ogoh is a Balinese tradition held before Nyepi Day. People carry large, scary statues in a parade. It symbolizes bad behavior and reminds people to control themselves and keep life in balance.

The first international choral competition in my hometown — Yogyakarta @yogyakartaworldchoralfestival will always hold a very special place in my heart. I feel deeply honored and grateful to have been part of this journey as the liaison officer for the participants from the Philippines @pupbhs

For eight beautiful days, from the moment I welcomed you at the airport until the bittersweet farewell when you returned home, we shared so much more than just a competition. We shared laughter, stories, cultural exchanges, and unforgettable memories. We talked about our languages, traditions, food, and the unique beauty of both Yogyakarta and the Philippines. In such a short time, you became more than participants to me — you became friends, even family.

Thank you for allowing me to walk this journey with you. Thank you for your warmth, your kindness, and the joy you brought into these eight days. I am incredibly proud of your dedication, your passion, and all the hard work you poured into this competition. You truly deserve to be champions, not only because of your talent, but because of your heart.

This is not goodbye — it’s see you again. I look forward to meeting you in Bali and Manila someday soon.

With love,
Sabina
