🥈Spartan Sprint World Championships, Hvar 🇭🇷

The comeback was surreal! I was in 2nd place after Nicole failed the slackline, only for me to fall off the Z Wall and have to do a technical trail bucket carry penalty loop! After finishing the penalty, I lost so many potions. I was in now in 8th, moving up to 6th after the hoist and sandbag carry. I overtook another athlete on the descent from the castle and then moved into 3rd place on the last bucket carry, overtaking Henriette and Sara and entering the spear throw alongside Nicole, battling for 2nd. I hit the spear, and then all I could hear was Ash screaming for me to swim like hell and try to catch Zuzana! (Last video 🥹❤️ I so appreciated having him here.)

Grateful for the battle with incredible ladies and to finish on the podium in a very competitive championship.

Thank you @spartanrace @spartanracecroatia for a beautiful race in the most iconic city.

ULTRA WORLD CHAMPION 🏆🤯🥹💜

I am speechless. What a race. The vibe. The support. The mountains. This community.

I twisted my ankle 7.8km into the race. I had to stop to tighten my brace and assess the damage. The girls that passed me were so kind and encouraging. For the next 7 hours I prayed for the pain to go and to be able to make it to the highest peak (it is the most breathtaking and beautiful view I have ever seen) and finish the first loop at 37km with 2900m of climbing.

GOD IS SO GOOD. He gave me miracle strength and endurance when I needed it most. I am teary when I think of what I went through today and how faith kept me going.

Thank you to everyone who supported me - on the course, messages, prayers and on the livestream. It means the world to me. The crowd was so electric and it gave me that energy to keep fighting.

Thank you @spartanracefrance for 57km, 3500m, 70 obstacles and 8h17 of my wildest day. 🫶

“Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.”

That’s what I told myself after one man at a modeling casting circled a picture of my leg, in front of 20 girls, and announced it was cellulite.

That moment changed me. I decided I’d never have cellulite again - and I starved myself to prove I was “good enough.”

For two years, I shrank my body and my life. At 180cm, fresh into varsity, I dropped to 48kg.

Every gram lost felt like success, but inside I was exhausted, undernourished, and consumed by control.

Obstacle racing gave me a lifeline. I discovered strength, running, and the truth: to heal, to carry weights, to finish races, I had to eat. I did not finish my first 6 races, but I replaced starvation with a “getting healthier” obsession.

I am sharing this because social media is a dream killer. I see so many girls chasing “skinny” at the cost of their health.

I am fully recovered now - I eat freely, I don’t count calories, and I refuse to let numbers define me. Friends, if you come from an eating disorder and you’re counting calories, you are going down a slippery slope - and often it’s one of self-deception.

Years of past abuse resurfaces in your future - low level hormones, fatigue, RED-S, hair loss - starving yourself doesn’t make you happier. Self-love does.

Don’t get me wrong- I still try stick to a healthy diet and a comfortable racing weight when competing. However, I am very flexible about gaining weight in-between races and especially on holiday. I learnt that my worth is not measured in kilos or calories.

I wish I could go back all those years and give that sad man the middle finger. Strength, freedom, and joy taste better than “skinny” ever will.
