BIRTHDAY SHAKEASS FOR ME!!!

music and movement is the medicine.
the dance floor is where I pray.
come conjure with me till the light of day.
calling in the highest and best timeline of abundant liberation, divine manifestation and delicious celebration.
the dj lineup is stellar and I want the sweat to pour, stopping only to hydrate before we shakeass some more.

free until 10pm with an rsvp (link in bio) or hit me up to be on the guest list by noon that day. after that, you’re at the mercy of the beloved DLN9 door hosts, I will not have my phone on me. I will have a table reserved, and there are rooms for conversation and libations, and the dance floors are for DANCING. if you can’t come but wanna show me love, I am accepting tokens of affection via zelle (email) or venmo (@ sacred_figures) for a birthday massage and to buy food for the community fridge in my hood.

thanks for f*cking with me, loves.

throwback to last sunday’s gemini jam @no9nyc , and the only picture I took from all the bodypaint brujería I did. of course it is of the gemini golden boy of honor @tmyers132 . it was a glorious time, and I can’t wait to offer more of this medicine. I’m available for all kinds of events and rituals, let’s flow. 🌀 by @sacred_figures

full moon flashback to painting these lovely folks in 2018! 🌕

I’m back on my brujería body paint offerings today at @no9nyc for the Gemini Jam. Come get this medicine with me from 6-10pm, then catch me on the dance floor. 🌀

though we had to cancel this past sunday’s Drink & Draw, we still received a $20 solidarity offering for our mutual aid for the Cooper Park Community Fridge @nbk.fridges from a lovely artist comrade.

I put the juice packs in first when unloading from my Costco
on run, and went back home around the corner to began to dividing up the bulk eggs and tomatoes. by the time I returned, maybe 20 min later the most, all the juice was gone. folks are hungry and every bit truly counts. feed your art and feed the heart, I know this abundance flows in every way when we move with generosity and not scarcity.

humble haul: 2 dozen eggs, 36 pack of juices, 5lbs of cherry tomatoes, 6 chana masala packets, and 8 madras lentils packets. I try to get a balanced round of ingredients/ready to go goods.

a little goes a long way, folks. we raised $100 in donations and ticket sales for yesterday’s Drink & Draw, towards the @nbkmutualaid @nbkfridges for Cooper Park Community Fridge.

our humble haul comprised of 2 dozen eggs, 5 lbs of carrots, 2 lbs of garlic, 5 lbs of potatoes, 3 lbs of onions, 40 juice boxes, 16 yogurt cups, 6 cans of beans, and 24 ramen packets. as I was loading up the fridge (which only contained a package of bagels), a person came by to grab some food and we had a great interaction, rooting the truth that humanity must be at the core of all we do. I’ve decided that all future Drink & Draw @no9nyc sessions will be supporting this community fridge. we must feed and fill our hearts and bellies, yes? yes and thank you.
