October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 💜 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have been physically abused by an intimate partner in their lifetime. Domestic violence happens right here in our community. Safe Embrace is committed to ending the cycle of domestic and sexual violence.

If you are struggling, know you are not alone. There's help available 24/7 by calling our helpline at 775-322-3466. 📞

We're looking for businesses to participate in Love Should Be Sweet campaign this fall! 💜 Love Should Be Sweet is Safe Embrace’s signature Domestic Violence Awareness Month campaign, running from October to November. Local businesses join us in “painting the town purple” by creating purple-inspired food, drinks, and experiences to spark conversations around healthy relationships and domestic violence awareness.

Together we can show our commitment to community wellness, make survivors feel supported, and raise awareness in a fun, creative way.

-Develop a purple special (food, drink, dessert, product) or host an event
-Display your support by identifying your special as a Love Should Be Sweet creation
-Share your purple creation on social media using #LoveShouldBeSweet
-Be included on Safe Embrace + Yelp’s participant map.

Officer Meredith Miller from the Sparks Police Department took on an incredible challenge of running 37 laps at the Biggest Little Ultra over 24 straight hours to support survivors at Safe Embrace.

Thanks to her sheer resilience and the unbelievable generosity of our community, Officer Miller raised $1,600 to help fuel our mission! 🏃‍♀️✨

Thank you, Officer Miller, and to everyone who donated to make every lap count. Together, we are building a safer, stronger community. 💜 by @safeembrace

A healthy community is a safe community. Domestic violence shatters lives and hurts families, but we can change the story. Ending this cycle starts with us—with empathy, with a willingness to listen, and with the courage to intervene. Let's build a community where everyone feels safe, supported, and valued. 💜

If you or someone you know are experiencing intimate partner violence, physical violence, sexual violence, and/or stalking please call our hotline. We are here to support you. 📞

Behind every number in these slides is a person finding their way back to safety. From answering 271 crisis calls to serving 66 people in our housing programs, our team has been on the front lines, ensuring that no one has to face domestic or sexual violence alone.

These "wins" aren't just statistics; they're lives saved. We are incredibly proud of this work, but we can’t do it without our community of supporters. Your donations directly fund the crisis line, the housing, and the legal help these survivors rely on.

Will you stand with survivors? Click the link in our bio to give a gift today.
