A two-part series documenting the same place across two different years.

The first is layered, dreamlike and full of movement. The second is clearer, bolder and more grounded.

The relationship between these works was never planned. Infact they were never intended to be a two-part series.

What began as a study of a neighbourhood and exploring its architecture, community and the rhythms of everyday life, became an unexpected reflection on perspective, change and the passage of time.

Perhaps that is what these works ultimately capture: not simply a place as it was, but the way our perception of it changes with time. What we notice, what we attach meaning to, and what we eventually learn to leave behind. Sometimes, it's only in looking back that we begin to understand what an experience has given us ☺️.
