Happy Feast Day, St. Joseph!! Care for the world like you cared for our Savior ✨🙏🏻 by @saint.faustina
Happy Feastday of St. Faustina! Saint Faustina Kowalska was a Polish nun and mystic born on August 15, 1915 in Glogowiec, Poland. She was raised in a poor but very devout Catholic family and only received 3 years of schooling as a child. Feeling called to religious life, she joined the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy after being denied from numerous other convents. It was there that she saw visions of the Jesus and became the “Apostle of Divine Mercy”, spreading God’s love and light to the world. Saint Faustina died at the age of 33 in 1938. She is the perfect example of someone who denies themself and accepts God; she loved everyone out of love for Him. St. Faustina, pray for us! Artist cred: @k.schwen by @saint.faustina
Turned 113 today, and not looking a day under 33 😂 For those of you confused, that’s because I’m in heaven! Saint Faustina, born Helena Kowalska, is one of the greatest saints of the 20th century. Born into a poor farming family on August 25, 1905, Saint Faustina received very little education in her childhood. Many of her fellow sisters were surprised by this when they saw her writings; Saint Faustina attributed her eloquence only to the relevations the Divine Mercy has shown her. Her most famous work is her Diary, in which she accounts the visions the Merciful Jesus gave her. She died on October 5, 1938 at the age of 33. Saint Faustina, pray for us! by @saint.faustina
In times of strife, look towards Jesus like Our Lady did. “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior; Because He has regarded the lowliness of His handmaid; for behold, henceforth all generations shall call me blessed; Because He who is mighty has done great things for me, and Holy is His Name; And His mercy is from generation to generation on those who fear Him. He has shown might with His arm, He has scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, and has exalted the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty. He has given help to Israel, His servant, mindful of His mercy - Even as He spoke to our father - to Abraham and to his posterity.” Thank you, Mother, for your lesson in gratitude to our Savior!! by @saint.faustina
"I come, O Lord, unto Thy sanctuary to see the life and food of my soul. As I hope in Thee, O Lord, inspire me with that confidence which brings me to Thy holy mountain. Permit me, Divine Jesus, to come closer to Thee, that my whole soul may do homage to the greatness of Thy majesty; that my heart, with its tenderest affections, may acknowledge Thine infinite love; that my memory may dwell on the admirable mysteries here renewed every day, and that the sacrifice of my whole being may accompany Thine." ~ Clare of Assisi Happy Feast of St. Clare of Assisi, everyone!! She is the patroness of television and digital screens. by @saint.faustina
Facts w/ Faustina: This photo was taken in Belmont, North Carolina and shows the Basilica of Our Lady, Help of Christians. Belmont Abbey is one of the United States’ largest abbeys for the Benedictine order. Part of the monks’ ministry is to teach classes at Belmont College (the Abbey is on campus). Saint Benedict, pray for us! Another fun fact: Saint Faustina took her religious name after Saint Faustus, a Benedictine monk who studied under Saint Benedict at Monte Cassino! by @saint.faustina
Happy Feast of Saint Benedict! Here is one of his prayers: Gracious and Holy Father, give us the wisdom to discover You, the intelligence to understand You, the diligence to seek after You, the patience to wait for You, eyes to behold You, a heart to meditate upon You, and a life to proclaim You, through the power of the Spirit of Jesus, our Lord. Amen. by @saint.faustina
Prayer to Our Blessed Mother: Loving Mother of the Redeemer, Gate of heaven, star of the sea, Assist your people of have fallen yet strive to rise again. To the wonderment of nature you bore your Creator, yet remained a virgin after as before. You who received Gabriel’s joyful greeting, have pity on us poor sinners. 📸 Photography by @saint.faustina 📸 🙏🏼✨🙌🏼 by @saint.faustina
