where have i been?

reading, selling vintage clothes, dealing with and enjoying the holiday period, writing, going to the gym, eating well, kissing my dog, loving my man. i’ll be back soon. i miss you all.

memoir 🦋

i’m writing a memoir, about growing up as a child of someone with a mental illness, and losing them for the same reason. i wanted to share the opening paragraph with you guys, and i want to thank you for reading if you have taken the time 🌟

if you know me well, you know that Rosalias new album, LUX has unequivocally changed my life, my way of seeing things, my way of being, my heart and my soul. my religion has come back to the forefront of my being, which i never thought would happen, and i am working through that with myself in the softest manner possible. this poem encompasses all of these feelings, everything that LUX gave me, everything i took from it myself, and who i feel i may be becoming ❤️

let me know of any albums that changed your life trajectory in the comments!!! I’m genuinely curious 🌟

red wine sangria 🍷

i wrote this one on the train yesterday, thinking about my spanish speaking journey and my carefree moments in the kitchen of my home, making tea for me and my boyfriend as he returns from work. in these moments i feel free, i feel radiant, and i feel beautiful.

(also i am aware it’s ‘las ramblas’, the misspelling is intentional ;))

i am here and i am still writing, i have just been taking some time out in order to focus on the craft rather than the sharing of said craft. in doing this, i have neglected the posts of my dear poet friends!!! i will from now be more active and begin posting again, maybe not daily, but as much as i can 🥹🌟🦋💋✨ by @saintellepoetry

though i am my muse just for one night,
this mirror will remember my name. 🌟🦋 by @saintellepoetry

guys 🥹

I’m headlining at the next edition of Speak Earnestly at @ernest.ouseburn, this Thursday!!! if you’re free and close to the area, get yourselves there, it means so so much to me to see some familiar faces at my readings, so it would be very much appreciated! 🦋

i will be back to posting regularly again soon, just give me a week or so to get my bearings as I’ve been inundated with work as of late!! 🌟

big love, elle sirs 💋

just wrote this one to express my writers block currently, and how i’m being overtaken by every other task i have to do before being able to be truly creative. i am sooooo worn out, with no end in sight ✨
