A week ago today, I celebrated one year of SDSV and I couldn’t be more proud of myself, the creatives, and the team, for the consistency, commitment and collaboration we have all shown in 2025

Thank you to everyone who has watched a episode, commented, liked, reposted, and said supportive words on the journey!

Thank you to the guests who attended the Wrap Up show, you made the evening with your beautiful presence!

Thank God for the vision and the help to bring to fruition this idea.

I’d like to make a special thanks to @cc4our for collaborating with me on this project - absolutely GOAT’d

Here is to 2026! 🥂 by @salientvoice

First university workshop and I got to do it at the prestigious @londonschoolofeconomics (LSE) 🤩🥳

The @bwplsesu invited me to run a poetry workshop for their ‘Ink, Thread, and Legacy” event in celebration of Black History Month and I couldn’t say NO!

Poetry plus inspiring the younger gen = my happy place!

I took poetry/spokenword and spun it on its head! No pressure, no PowerPoints, just unfiltered expressions and conversations.

We were present in the room, we got real, some of us performed, we shared our experiences and left enlightened.

It was such a joy to empower the next generation with the understanding that their words - whether written or spoken - are powerful tools for self-expression.

What a milestone - thank you to the organisers for this timely opportunity that has left me hungry for more! 👏🏾

Where should I host the next poetry workshop…?

Still can’t believe I had my name, face, and bio on a billboard @chiswickpark for their Black Excellence event in celebration of Black History Month in partnership with @wilflen_creative , @paramountuk , St James & @ukjamii 🤩🔥

Such a proud moment as a Black female creative seeing so many talented and ambitious people who like me celebrating their passion and hardwork!

Truly an honour to be a part of 🎉🤭

Thank you @laurenwilliamspoet for making it happen 🥰

IT WAS SIMPLY GODS DOING AND BACKING.

The journey to that stage was not easy at all but I had to run to God when my insides got a sunset because I understood He called and I couldn’t do it all alone.

I have learnt so much from this experience, significantly about myself and most importantly about the God I serve - I can’t thank Him enough!

Big shout out to @theofficialhowsweetthesound and @royalalberthall for coming together to bring the dreams of so many into reality in front of a room filled with over 4,000 people. It just reminds me of when I stood infront of an audience for the 1st time performing poetry at 16 (last slide🫢) What a truly humbling experience.

Thank you for creating a safe space for me and my art. You walked with me through each minute and I appreciate you more than you know my bro 💫♥️

A huge shout out to the hosts and judges too!💫♥️

I didn’t do this alone!

This is just the beginning.

In ode of all Nollywood movies -

To God Be the Glory. 🙏🏾🫢🥳😎 by @salientvoice

I delivered my first solo session at Gladesmoore Community School to 200 Year 9 students talking to them about my poetry journey. I performed three of my poems, talked them through different writing processes, and performance tips.

A creative goal of mine is to tour schools and really connect with the younger generations

My why? To be used as an instrument that motivates the younger generation so that they can grow up to use their creative flair to make an impact within the world around them!

Enjoyed every single moment and thank you to all the members of staff that made me feel so welcomed!

Next up: I have been invited to be one of the judges for their solidarity poetry slam project second year running!
