As summer is ending, I wanted to share a little glimpse into a few of the sweet and simple moments our little fam has experienced. So much goodness these last few months. by @sallieplumleystudio

I love making the bed. Literally. I like crafting gorgeous beds that can live a lifetime in your home. And no I don’t enjoy changing the sheets 🤣🤷‍♀️

What should I make for the Craft + Design show this year?

Getting a lil dreamy over here among all of these gorgeous slabs from @rvalumberworks
This gorgeous, cool morning reminded me that Craft + Design is only a few months away! by @sallieplumleystudio

I love making these small, meaningful projects. These growth charts are totally customizable and can be taken from place to place without needing to leave your precious memories behind.

First test fit is complete! (Still some serious finalization to go- nothing is aligned or screwed in yet) but only FOUR MORE LEFT TO MAKE 🤯🤯🤯. Manhattan here we come!

Ooooh when those drawer fronts book match just perfectly…
This large walnut kitchen island was handcrafted out of walnut that was felled years ago at my customers farm.

They called me to ask my advice, had it milled, properly stickered and stacked, air dried in a big barn, and finally turned it into a piece for their farmhouse.

Many people don’t want to wait years for a process like this to take place. But dang, it’s worth it when someone can be patient and utilize gorgeous material like this.

Stay tuned for more photos in the fall! This island was delivered to the farmhouse, but because it’s currently under renovation, I won’t have photos until the kitchen is complete!

Honestly, this project is getting bigger and bigger by the day! I’m currently working on a series of five absolutely massive tables a Manhattan business library. Each of the five is L shaped and 17’ x 17’. Yes you read that right 17 FEET. by @sallieplumleystudio

Crafted for a beautiful beach condo in Virginia Beach, this custom walnut dining table and matching bench are the VERY FIRST full project built from lumber milled at our own sawmill, @rvalumberworks.

Subtle emerald and blue epoxy details highlight the wood’s natural character, offering a quiet nod to the nearby coast. Simple, timeless, and built to last, this set is designed to bring people together for years to come.

This little kitchen island has a big story.
My amazing clients got married under this gorgeous oak tree in their backyard.
Years later, the tree needed to be taken down. It had a rotten inside, and branches were threatening to fall on the roof.
My clients had the tree properly milled and dried by @genuinetimbercraft and then the wood came to me.

I had the pleasure of turning it into this multifunctional kitchen island for their precious house in Richmond.

Mmmm that first coat of finish gives an exciting sneak peek into what’s to come. It’s by far one of the most satisfying parts of woodworking.
